I actually heard that the role of John McClain in "Die Hard" was originally supposed to go to Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver). Could have been interesting - he could have been sarcastic enough for the part, though I just can't picture him saying Bruce's most famous line in the movie...
Before Bruce Willis became one of the great badasses of cinema, he looked like an out-of-shape Michael Keaton.
