@neocryptz There are two reasons. 1. Even though Google seems like it has a lot of money (and I mean a lot!), it doesn't have enough money to animate the cars a full 360 deegrees. 2. It is also "flat like pancakes" to avoid any criminals from trying to attempt "Identity Theft" on the cars. For example, if a car was 360 and showed the license plate, they could have gone to the DMV and said the license plate number like "MYC4RRLZ" and could have gotten the car EASILY. I hope this has helped A LOT!

Downtown Boston has 3d buildings as well. It's awesome to hop from camera to camera. It's like a magic carpet ride when you change cities like Boston to LA or Dallas. It's a real roller coaster.
