  • This goes on and on and gets boring. Some politicians' beliefs are venal. It depends on your life experience. Of course probably not any from either party would seem so from a straight white male perspective. I'm jus sayin'.

  • I'm glad you pointed out that it's "very specifically your world". In my experience it's about even.

In my experience democrats & republicans talk a LOT of shit to each other, but democrats tend to rely on facts & ridicule, while replicans tend to rely on emotion & ridicule.

  • Penn is friends with hitchens, yet he bashes other people for using the same language? What about republicans doing worse things? I'm at a loss for words about this horrible logic and selective memory....

  • OMFG those hand motions that come about 1 inch from smacking the camera lens are killing me. Like Penn alot though so i put up with it.

  • nope he's right democrats hate logic and republicans fear it

  • As a liberal, I agree with this about "Bush is not evil but wrong" BUT...Democrats are hate? I have heard nothing but "Obama is wrong" and worse, even the "Nazi" and "anti Christ". So I agree with Penn- dont use "evil"

and if we want to talk "hate"...let's talk about the party that has a "problem" and often openly HATES gay people. Citing a religion is not an excuse.

No excuse for the gay bigotry.

  • Dude......I thought I was the only one to thinks this! thank you!

  • if they are destroying the bill of rights, does it really matter if they are doing so in good faith? to me it is a waste of time determining their motivation, and i think we can hate them because they are destroying it, not only if they are intentionally setting out to destroy it.

  • Individually Americans are very smart, but as a group they are very stupid.

  • @DeadMarine1980 Just like in every nation. Only trust great and intelligent individuals, not mindless sheep who follow the herd. We need look at different points of view and think critically to develope our own ideas and experiences about the world around us.

  • But Michelle Bachmann IS evil!!!

  • I grew up in the 80's and heard a lot from the right about how the left is made up of cowards and such. I believe that fueled the "hate" of the left. The left needed to act more tough in order to get the attention of the right. It'd hard to get a bunch of "cowboys" to take you serious when your talking peace and love. Also, I truly believe the left just became sick of all the b.s. of the right and became more angry. Right wingers are thick skulled and it makes sense that it makes some hateful

  • @hz23hz23hz23 I'd believe that if the people at the top acted like this, but they make sure to hide this side of the party, even though living in a primarily-Democratic region, it's all you see of it.

  • NO VILLAIN ever believes that what they do is malicious. Hitler, who by many is considered the embodiment of human evil ever believed that what he did was justified. Even Darth Vader, according to George Lucas didn't see himself as a villain. So, to me this one episode of Pen Says was a video about nothing.

  • wait. oops. Penn you mean democratics are the party of fear and the republicans are the party of hate.

  • @Goodyearmonkey Maybe you should try watching videos before you post bullshit like this.

  • what about vigilante serial killers? they think what there doing is good.

  • Well, Penn (and I realize I'm not actually talking to Penn here), I am Christian, Catholic to be precise, and I love your vids because I agree with many of your libertarian views. I believe gov't should be as minimal and as local as possible. Even your anti-religion vids, although I disagree, cause me to think deeper and question things, and for that, I respect you, sir.

  • shut the fuck up fat fuck who would want to be ur lame friend

  • shut the fuck up fat fuck

  • This reminds me pretty heavy of the stuff John Stewart has been saying a lot lately, minus the Dems being the party of hate. Just the idea that we shouldn't vilify people just due to us disagreeing with them.

  • distributed by sony? WHAT?

  • @pennsays Why no more videos son!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @ all these people tossing around the word evil, please define the word before using it. Saying "it just is", doesn't count.

  • I don't think you are evil, Penn, even though you are wrong about a whole hell of a lot of things. :-)

(Knowledge is what makes something evil? So, I can torture you or shoot you, but if I don't consider that to be wrong then I'm not doing evil? Something is wrong with your argument.)

  • @tolstoyscat If you strip away abstraction, isn't evil distinguished from simply wrong by intention? Otherwise the word has no practical application.

  • EXACTLY. Most people in their debates just hide behind what they think other people's motives are. Like I disagree with Obama on many issues, however, i have so much respect for him as a person in terms of what he's been through, the way he speaks and the way he conducts himself. I haven't met him so I don't know for sure he's a good person but from what i've seen, i have no reason to HATE him. Same goes for George W. Bush. Except Bush isn't exactly an elegant speaker.

  • im gonna friend this mother fucker so he feels bad now =p

  • Democrats are historically the party of hate and racism. Democrats were the party pro-slavery, they were anti-civil rights, a democrat made Japanese internment, and democrats now seem to aim their hate more officially at whites, though most democrats I have talked to who don't know I and right-wing say the most racist and sexist things. The same people also say that tea partiers are being racist by not liking obama. Buncha haters.

  • Comment removed

  • @carnypimp I GOT IT FROM REAL HISTORY YOU DUMBSHIT. Democrats supported slavery (historical fact from a real history book), FDR (a true communist) issued an executive order to intern AMERICAN CITIZENS based on nothing but DESCENT (most interned were at least 1 generation naturals). Democrats fought AGAINST civil rights when that was going through, and now with stuff like affirmative action, the target has become anyone of some European descent.

  • "So do give me your white bull shit it is white peoples turn to get some of their own medicane back at them."

See? What did I say? Racist. You tell me I am racist because somehow not liking a blackish-by-color guy for his communist background makes me racist. Don't stereotype. Just because some shit treats you like shit doesn't mean you have the right to go around and treat every guy with family lines that go back to the same continent as him that way.

  • @patsfanczar

    "Democrats fought AGAINST civil rights"

Party make up changes. Yes Democrats fought against it...but its not party- CONSERVATIVES fought it. Particularly SOUTHERN Dixiecrat Democrats.

And if we want to delve further...Conservative Christians aka the BACKBONE of the GOP fought it. Including interracial marriage.

Now today...the conservative Christians (usually GOP) fight Gay marriage for the same listed reasons.

Democrats & GOP of the 19th century are hardly "the same" today

  • Comment removed

  • @carnypimp Furthermore, I do not support a name, I support an idea. Not all republicans are actually conservative, and I find in general that whiny ones (believe me, I am watching it in the Colorado governor race at the moment) aren't the conservative ones, but rather stupid republicrats. As far as "redistributing the wealth" a) I am not sure where you pulled that from, and b) taking the moey of those who earned it and giving it for no reason to those who didn't is communist (quite literally).

  • Comment removed

  • @carnypimp No, that is the FUNDAMENTAL ideal of communism: equal all the wealth. That is what the 10-point communist manifesto is based around: distributing wealth to the proletariat (or in the case of Maoism, to the serf). Really worked out: the proles made up more percentage of wealth in their economy, but all the innovators went away.

  • @patsfanczar I guess i'm a communist oh fucking well to have a great country you don't let your nieghbors starve.

  • @carnypimp So because somebody isn't given life on a silver platter somehow that person will starve? Good lord, get a work ethic.

  • @patsfanczar No by all means no. Here we go you act as if people are lazy and just don't want to work. When their is no jobs people shouldn't go homeless. Im not asking people with money to make others rich by all means work for it but in a economy like this that is wrong to not play robin hood.

  • @carnypimp Your asking for free money, where the hell is the work ethic?

  • @patsfanczar Where in the hell is the work can't have one without the other?

  • @carnypimp Huh? I really wish you would use proper English, makes your statements easier to read and understand.

Nobody is going to go homeless because they weren't given free money. If you lose your damn job, tough luck, the guys with money earned what they have through real education and years of hard work (not that someone like you would support that). You don't deserve a dime of it (especially since you want it work-free).

  • @patsfanczar Ok who is hiring um nobody not even Mcdonalds I have a job but i'm looking out for everyone that needs one. Whatever hard work my ass.

  • @carnypimp Plenty of places are hiring, you just haven't got a clue how to find them (or more you aren't looking because you've got a job). Government jobs, for one, are as secure and well paying as ever. You think your intentions to help people that really don't need it (and in not-so-rare cases, don't deserve it) are good enough. Face it, someone earns cash, they deserve to spend or invest it as they choose.

  • @patsfanczar I have a job but it took almost a year to go back full time. The Tax cuts did not exist untill Bush put them in effect and started rippen the economy apart three years before the Democrats took controll. Now Obama cant put the tax back people where already paying back into effect because big business has acted like immature baby when they got the tax cuts in the first place. The tax cuts and yes the home loans both parties are guilty. Cutting out social sercurity is evil.

  • @carnypimp Tell me in detail how bush's tax cuts somehow caused the economy to crash again, please. One thing I should mention to you is that richer people don't pay as much into social security, the common middle class pays the most. Having said this, I don't see how cutting out something that only hurts the average person is evil.

  • @patsfanczar Because the average company who would have to save for many years becasue of taxs would take at least 15 years to get rich. But with they tax cuts they where rich within two years and out fear they put it all back lowered their employees pay. Big companies where able too sell out move shit to mexico.

  • @carnypimp Huh? No, that is not how business works. Business is far more complicated than one can describe in a 500 character YT comment.

  • @patsfanczar My bitch about social sercurity is my father a middle class worker who made 70k plus for over 25 years also educated lost his job over a bad heart and bad health. He never got tax returns or entitlements. But now he has no choice nobody wants to hire a man with multiple heart surgeries and can barely even walk. He paid his taxes he made more than the average worker. He deserves it plus if it goes he will ask to live with me hell no I can't stand him.

  • @carnypimp I took a look at your page, and your self description tells me you are one of the most misinformed people on earth. You accuse tea partiers of being nothing but rich people who hire illegal labor. Really odd world view, in my opinion judging from my experiences. I haven't met one person that isn't middle class that is a tea partier. Come to think of it, you need to get an education to get yourself out of your economic situation.

  • @patsfanczar My problem with the whole social sercurity deal is my father should not have live broke. If it does not bother his disability check because he is disabled I don't care. He was the middle class he made 70,000 a year sometimes more he can barely walk, he has a pace maker he should not have to go back to work all they will do is fire him again because he is so unhealthy. Also as far as the crazies go give them a damn check. I don't want to work around a pyscho who could own a gun.

  • Can't we just hate on people for being stupid?

  • @133774571C No.

What's the point of hating people? What is the point? Setting up a barrier between you and your opponent just clouds people's judgment, and stifles all possibility of a mutually-beneficial solution for fear of betraying one's "own."

And yes, sometimes, one side is completely right, but it's rare, because no one is in it just to be evil. At worst, it's for personal gain, but even that can have its merits.

  • It isn't anti woman to say that about Palin, It's anti Palin. Don't turn it into something it isn't. There are women out there I would be fine seeing running for office. Palin may not be stupid, but she is ignorant. I think she has pretty well proven that.

  • Sorry, a correction is needed here; you said that you doubt that when someone said to you that Bush was being venal and helping his friends that you doubted that was true...hmmm, then why were the majority of his cabinet positions and foreign positions former Unocal executives? I mean, come on, call it like it is, don't sugar coat it.

  • can i call palin stupid without any moral implications? cause she is

  • What an absolute salient point about political junkies. I am a conservative and I used to tell my friends all the time- No, Clinton is not evil, he doesn't want to destroy the country. It's true and Penn explains it very well.

  • republicans are bad democrats are worse

  • Too long, didn't watch? Penn is saying: "No one wakes up in the morning, says "Hmmm how can I do EVIL today? Hahahaha!". Everyone does what they feel is right.

  • i just feel like at any moment that fucking bees could come flying out of that vent above penn

    WATCH OUT PENN, GODAMN BEEES!

  • If you think Dems are bad (IMO they are no different than republicans except they package their bullshit better) try looking into the LGBT community Penn. They blindly follow people like Obama, Clinton, Kerry, etc without any forethought. People believe these politicians are some sort of messiah even when they profess the same "separate but equal (and unequal)" mantra that republicans spout. As Bill Maher once said, "there is no left in the two sides, just right winged and right of center."

  • @darkwolfx333

"try looking into the LGBT community Penn. They blindly follow people like Obama, Clinton, Kerry, etc without any forethought"

All modern GOP Prez candidates have towed the lines to the evangelicals, those that seek to deny civil rights to gays, ban them from the military, say "it's a choice" or wish to de-programed gays. AND follow a religion that says gays should be killed.

The right cites the SAME reasons against gay marriage as those that fought interracial marriage.

  • @darkwolfx333

"try looking into the LGBT community Penn. They blindly follow people like Obama"

The GOP in 2004, made opposing gay marriage a national issue. It's in their convention statement. The GOP ignores all medical science and say "it's a choice". Tried to ban gays from certain jobs(Teaching, military) in my town,i've seen referendums about housing that would allow a landloard to kick out gays...all heavily supported by GOP.

stopping gay marriage is used for GOP fundraising

  • when your opponent is evil then you can use any means necessary to defeat them.

  • I can see up his nose. Democrats = Party of hope.

  • um the axis of evil?

  • Comment removed

  • I do not see the need to judge a politician by their followers. I agree with what you say about the idea of evil, but to attribute the actions and statements of the voters to the politician is ridiculous.

Should I judge you based on your fans?

  • I think it seems for the most part both the parties republican and democrat have these feelings he's referring to when they aren't in power. There is far too much blind Obama bashing. Even if you disagree with him he is still a competent leader that is doing what he feels is best for the country. The only complaint I truly had about Bush is Cheney's ties to Halliburton leading him to push for policies that favored that company. That was corruption. But that's not even GWB doing that.

  • The majority of republicans are good people who I just disagree with, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any bad ones either. Are they being bad just to be bad, they're doing it for personal gain. I'm not saying that there isn't bad Democrats out there either. Are there less of them? Probably not. Are there less of them in the government? who knows.

  • Get it! Bill Maher!

  • You are very right. We can't go out to say that politics, presidential figures at that, seek out to do wrong, even if they do something wrong. I wouldn't like to have Bush as a president, but I wouldn't go out to say he is evil.

  • look up penn point for penn's new stuff

  • @JuggaloJohn Thanks! Keep spreading the word!

  • While I agree that Bush, etc. are often (usually) wrong. BUT Sarah Palin is definitely retarded. How can she not answer simple questions like "What newspapers do you read?" or what her stance is on foreign policy. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. She's as dumb as Dan Fucking Quayle. She was completely uninformed about EVERYTHING and she wanted to be in charge of a country. WTF? Even if she was a man, I'd be running scared. No more C students in the White House, please!

  • One thing you can say about Bush, Obama and all these other douche bags is that they belong to special interests groups that honestly think this world is their personal nest egg. Their own little garden which in which to cultivate and influence as they see fit. They love money and power more than life and people die for it. It just gets easier to do when people vote for trivial or stupid reasons. Lets make an informed decision next time and vote in someone who's constitutional for a real change.

  • Very well said. I think both parties shouldn't portray the other side as evil. We believe they're wrong and t his is way we're right and here is why....Party of hate and party of fear. That is about right. I don't don't like President Obama is doing the right thing, but he is the president and I will voice my opinion through my vote. I don't think he's evil, but honestly pursing the path he feels is right.

  • ur show kicks ass! saved my fukin life lol

  • OK. Watched the whole thing looking at your funky chin hairs. You're Ok man. I'm a conservative Christian. (Not church going as I would rather have a bowel movement in public than pray in public.) Your thoughts are are organised and interesting and I agree with you. So there.

  • So obviously PennSays isn't up anymore, and this video is like a year and a half old, but its new to me, so here is my take.

I don't know what the guy on facebook said, but saying that he almost threw up in his mouth listening to Palin isn't him saying that he hates Republicans or thinks they are inherently evil. I would say its certainly better to attack the actual message rather than the messenger, but nearly everything Palin says is stupid, so its almost a waste of time to break it down. :P

  • One of the reasons that I won't vote Democrat is that I've tolerated the 6th grader bully attitudes coming out over the past decade. The finger pointing, the recruiting of the children for their guilt ridden accusations and the race baiting. I may disagree with Penn being an Atheist, but he seems to be the type of person that thinks and weighs facts before he opens his mouth, which is one of the reasons why I've really been turned on by the Libertarians.

  • @Holymoley2010 Bullies? Libertarians are pussies.

  • Hi Penn fans. Penn Says videos have been discontinued, so you won't be seeing any new content on here. You can check out our Profile on our Channel Page for more info. We'll still be checking in, so hope to keep chatting with you all! Thanks!

  • @pennsays Sorry to see you stop doing these videos. They have all been a refreshing look at the world, that I more than often agree with. Good luck in everything you do.

  • @pennsays This makes me sad.

  • @EventHorizon373 Penn's still on YouTube! Right here!

  • @pennsays damn, the universe will be less bright now.

  • Penn is so biased. Conservatives are just as maliscious and vile (if not more so)when they want to be.

  • I almost commented in opposition to what Penn says with examples of some of the hate coming from the conservatives lately. Then I remembered that this conservative hate wasn't happening back during the election or during the Bush reign for that matter. It's scary how much the political atmosphere has changed in a year and a half. This is how I see it: Liberal hate stems from condescension. Conservative hate stems from intolerance.

  • I love Penn, but yes, he is very much speaking from his own world, because 120 facebook friends is not enough to accurately portray the hate and fear people both parties have in them. Another thing to consider, as Penn even said, most of his peripheral friends on facebook are liberal. it makes sense. technology's demographic is left-leaning. but I think penn doesn't have a realistic grasp of each parties' followers.

  • What Penn is describing is real, but I hear the same thing coming from Republicans..... I heard some of them say the Democrats "know" they are doing wrong, but WANT to do bad", which of course is ridiculous.

  • I suppose now, that Republicans are considered hateful since they spew the same hateful things at Obama?

I agree with Penn, but just don't think that Democrats or Republicans are exclusively hateful or evil. They both have their different views on how the world works.

  • Why hasn't there been a video in so long?

  • @kaykaykaykaykk We're working to get more episodes. Please hold tight. :-)

  • the republicans are the party of hate and fear the democrats are the party of retards

  • @MASSHOLEvids

dont fool your self each party is the same when you look into it.

  • Bush and Cheney are evil. that's just my opinion, after seeing how they fooled the country into a destructive but profitable war and smeared their critics, like Joe Wilson and his wife.

  • @DejectedPanda One problem, the war wasn't profitable. Lets not pretend Hussein was some humanitarian. He absolutely deserved to be overthrown, the problem is the reasoning of it. Bush could have came out and said we are overthrowing him because he is an evil son of a bitch and their is plenty of evidence to back that up. I would say 80 pct of the people would have had no problem with that.

  • I do believe the democrats are hateful and melious and ignorant. I was a republican for the longest time and I, heard it spouted over and over. republicans are logical but they are also a little uncareing, this start from the top and trickle down mentality does work but its not fast enough. I have been listening to libertarian speak. I dont believe in every thing they are for but it makes sence. As does the republican side of things. The only thing any one of us can be truly is a patriot.

  • @popsci23 So what party, if any, do you align yourself with now?

  • @pennsays Thank you. We spend way too much time attacking people's motives and their love for this country instead of just debating the issues like adults should. I think both parties are filled with hateful, angry people though. Neither has a monopoly on that. Love your show btw, especially when I agree with you.

  • @olivemike81 Thanks for commenting, but I'm not Penn, I just help out with the comments. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @popsci23 Then why are the Republicans doing the same thing with Obama that the Democrats did with Bush? I don't think hate is reserved only for the Democratic party. Republicans, mores specifically the Tea Party, are painting Obama as an evil man who wants to destroy the country as we know it.

  • Heh, which party does this now?

  • Bush wasn't venal but he allowed Cheney to have his was in every situation. Cheney is definitely venal.

  • Seems to me that both parties tend to be hateful. But I agree, democrats can be hateful.

If anything, the democrats are the party of guilt. They guilt you into supporitng their postitions; otherwise, you're a heatless monster if you don't. (healthcare reform, affirmative action, illegal immigration, etc.)

  • He's more than just a magician. Penn is a very smart person who always has something insightful to say. Although you don't have to agree with everything he believes, he does make a lot of sense a lot of the time.

  • He is a natural skeptic. And he's quite brilliant. Your ad homonym argument that he is a magician and that he is ugly and fat, etc, just serve to prove the very point that he is making here.

  • @ahavnes Actually I find his commentary rather interesting and thought provoking,as do many...do you have a program of ongoing commentary to share with people ?

  • Penn's got it mixed up. Republicans are the party of fear AND hate. Democrats are the party of personal demons and smug self-righteousness.

  • voting based on facebook comments?? Get a grip man.

  • Could Penn's argument work for hitler? How do we know hitler didnt do the things he did in a genuine concern for his country? Maybe he grew up with bastards and became Chocolate covered bastard with bastard filling that warped his world view. The line where wrong but good intentioned becomes evil is intent. Hitler rather than sending the jews out of the country decided.."kill them" bush knew colon powell was lying his ass off infront of the U.N. even powell knew it was bullshit.

  • @AmericanPoliceState Godwin's Law?

  • Yes. however what about the CIA? they over throw countries, assassinate leaders, all for america. Or the Iraq war, hundreds of thousands of civilians dead, the country exposed to depleted uranium making the locals and our own soliders sick.

  • Thank You For Posting; Using the words 'hate', and 'evil' are similar to 'swearing', they're catch-all words used to avoid the personal responsibility for using adjectives, and adverbs to describe what the individual is thinking, and feeling. Removing adjectives, and adverbs is a subtle form of capitulating with terrorism.

I tried 'swearing' for 3-years, discovered I'd robbed myself of individual expression. 'School House Rock' is an anti-terrorist weapon.

    Cheers!

    Valkyrie Ziege Mourne

  • picking a party is all personal preference

all parties are not bad they just have different views of how the government should work

  • I agree with, "this is your own world". You live in Cali. If I was you or even Matt stone and Trey Parker for that fact, I would make jokes and be annoyed by democrats and liberals. I live in Texas though. For the most part people are nice hear, but there is a lot of "HATE" towards democrats. Unless you are in Austin, TX then it's the other way around.

  • what is evil? Evil doesn't need to be informed...

  • There are Republicans that I know personally, but don't like, that aren't 'against' us, they just don't care: like a person looking at ants. They aren't malicious, they just see the world as winners and losers and the losers don't matter as much. It's that Ayn Rand-inspired view that the cream rises to the top. They do care about individuals, but will demonize groups for one reason or another. Not saying all Republicans, but I have met some like this, not malicious but lacking empathy.

  • I think we'd need to define 'evil' here. Sending troops to die for resources? I wish I could say that's evil, but that's imperialism. Being a moron isn't evil, although it should be criminal at that level of government.. but then again, we elected him. On the other hand, he's a liar, like every politician. He ousted CIA operatives. He allows waterboarding, flouts human rights, encroaches on the constitution with the Patriot Act.. No. It's not evil, I suppose. It's not Hitler. But it is wrong.

  • I think ignorantly doing terrible things is just as bad as maliciously doing the same things.

  • If you've ever watched Palin speak, you probably didn't throw up. You probably were struck with fear at the thought of someone that moronic even coming close to running our country.

I have to say, I lost some of the respect I held for Penn on this one. Pointing out that your opposition is unintelligent is a good thing. The american people don't want someone who denies modern science, or maybe they do. I heard some 40% of americans deny evolution, so I just don't fucking know anymore.

  • rofl, does the name Al Gore ring a bell?

  • What does Gore have to do with anything?

  • He's worse that Palin because he is not only stupid, he is certifiably insane, and we survived him. lol.

  • When was Al Gore president?

It doesn't matter, Palin would be just as bad, possibly worse than Bush. She's just as stupid, has similar views and opinions, and have you ever heard her speak? It's just as bad as Bush, but you can't laugh at all of the mistakes she makes. You just have to sigh at her level of stupidity.

  • Maybe you should look at the election options before commenting, Palin ran as VP under McCain, not president. rofl. There are stories of her running in the future, but that means nothing now. Nobody can guess who will make it to the ticket until the time comes. I guess I can understand people already looking to 2012, tho, we just got stuck with the most incompetent president ever in '08

  • I knew that, but McCain is old and chances are he'd have died while in office, leaving Palin with presidency.

Most incompetent? Well, I'm not much for politics, but I doubt McCain would be doing any better.

  • I don't anybody would be that lucky, lol. McCain will probably live for quite a while. McCain does suck, don't get me wrong, but that is mostly because he is basically a democrat. But unlike Obama, McCain would at least be loyal to the USA and try to do whats best for the county.

Of course, it is all moot now. Everyone just needs to try to hang onto there jobs and ride the storm out the best they can.

  • You seem to have a negative view of democrats. Both parties are full of shit, it's just that both parties have different kinds of shit. The entire two party system is bullshit.

Though, I'd be the first to admit Obama only won because he's black.

  • Exactly, I am glad to see that people other than my self think both partys are shit. Tho I don't think Obama won because he is black. I think he won because he seems like a nice honest guy,and for the fact that people vote for who is "Cool",and mccain is far from cool.

  • What like thinking that there are 57 states in the USA?

    Oh wait that was OBAMA!!

  • Obama never said anything about 57 states. Otherwise the republicans would have been using that relentlessly.

  • Yes he did you stupid fuck, just do a search right here on youtube.

  • That was a slip up. He meant 47. If you had any bit of common sense you'd realize that. He said '57 with one left to go' also saying that he wasn't going to Alaska or Hawaii.

Really, if that's the best you have, you may as well be attacking people for typos.

  • He most certainy did..........so thanks for making my point. He has screwed up many many times. However it is simply NOT reported. The Media love him and will not report anything negative. SHEEP like you eat it right up.

Of course sheep are lead to slaughter.

  • Yeah, I looked it up. It was a mistake. Refer to the reply I gave to the other incompetent asshole. Both you and him lack common sense so it's not hard to refute your nonexistent arguments.

I find it ironic you'd call me a sheep when attempting to use a fallacy in place of an argument.

  • Oh so Obama can make mistakes and that is fine...............the media ignore it.(largely)

But when Bush makes mistakes it was horrible.

    NIce double standard fucktard.

  • A minor slip up and starting a war under false pretenses is a bit different, don't you think?

And Obama made one mistake. Bush was just illiterate.

  • which false pretences would that be?

The nuke and bio material that Saddam moved to Syria?

  • Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? Did you happen to miss that?

  • Type in "Obama says 57 states"

Obama said it, and then said " I still have 2 left to visit"

  • Yeah, I know. Did you happen to miss my replies to the other two assholes? It's a simple mistake. He said he wasn't going to one of the states, had already been to 57, and had two left. Either he's just retarded and actually thinks there are 60 states, or he made a simple mistake.

I don't support the guy any more than the conservatives, but when people use stupid shit like that to attack him, they only make themselves look like assholes. Anyone with common sense could see it was a mistake.

  • i threw up a little bit in my mouth when i watched this.

  • You have friends and then you have Facebook "friends". Lol.

  • I've always said Democrats & Republicans could be renamed to Idiots & Assholes. It would be as accurate

  • The irony of your video, Penn, is that I felt the SAME exact way about how McCain was running his campaign and how he and Palin were deliberately fanning the flames of hatred and, though a bit more subtly, racism at their rallies.

Though I've never heard a Democratic politician use the word evil, I've heard Republican politicians (and talking heads like Rush) use "bitch", "evil", and even "muslim", like it's an epithet.

Which party is really the party of hate, then?

  • look in the april or may issue of rolling stone you can see a writer call the republicans evil. Saying that george bush lied to this country or that republicans want people to die quickly. I have never heard palin or mccain say anything hateful or racist. I have heard it from Van Jones, said republicans are assholes. didnt he fan the flames of racism when he said that white enviromentalist and polluterswere stearing poison toward minority communities. both sides have plenty of hate to go around

  • What evil person knows he is evil? What stupid person knows he is stupid? None.

Does Penn think these words are meaningless? Hasn't he met such people?

  • Totally agree. I have conservative friends who say Obama wants to destroy America. I tell them that an open mind would serve them better. I have to believe that anyone who subjects themselves to what a national candidate does in the media truly loves their country and thinks they can better it.

  • That's fine. Say he is doing what he thinks is best. Well it's fucking anti-constitutional. That is the supreme law and guide of the land. For someone who is supposedly a constitutional lawyer he is ignorant.

  • That's why we have checks and balances.

Besides, my liberal friends used to tell me that things Bush was doing was unconstitutional. I daon't think he is ignorant, I think he is a power hungry politition.

  • Denying evil is denying human nature. We are not innately "good", we are innately "bad". I put those in quotes because each person has their own definition of good and bad.

  • Denying the good inherent in humans is also to deny human nature. If evil by definition is the absence of the good, and if humans are inherently evil then humans can do no good, ever.

Yet,we see humans exhibiting love and compassion everyday. The existence of good within humans means humanity cannot be inherently evil.

  • I agree somewhat, but let me clarify myself further. At the root of the majority of a human's actions is self centered or selfishness.

  • racist mofo... you hate him cause hes black

  • You are an idiot.

  • It's so refreshing to hear this perspective. I lived in Chicago during the election and I was driven nearly mad by the exact things that Penn mentions in this video. And if you tried to challenge it when you were outnumbered you were blown off or attacked. Politics can really bring out the worst in people. I learned a lot about human nature last Fall.

  • I love that distinction, and I agree 100%. Even here on the comments you see the hate born of failure to recognize that they simply disagree with people, and can not accept those as disagreements. Instead, we see folks claim that mere thoughts and ideas and words by themselves are as "dangerous" and "damaging" as all that--many of these are the same thoughts and ideas and words that have created and sustained the generally great nation we live in now.

  • I hate people who are private and selective on facebook

  • I don't agree with what you say.but thank you for respecting my right to do so.and likewise,i will do the same.

  • Does it make any difference whether or not a person whose actions are evil and wrong do it just to be A-holes or do it because they believe they're right?

Hell no. No one in this world is

    "truelly" evil.

  • Did Adolf Hitler really kill 6 million Jews just to because he was "evil" and wanted to do terrible things? Hell no, Hitler legitimately believed that by riding the world of Jews and purifying the "Aryan" race he was doing God's will. Was Hitler "evil"? Yeah he did terrible things but I'm sure he justified his actions through his on twisted perspective.

Does Bush sleep well at night even though his mistakes have caused thousands of lost lives? You damn right he does.Like a baby. Is that evil?
