  • good luck....everyone deserves a chance to learn and make their dreams come true. thinking about going too online. we will c.

  • @TheMaciel89

    Best wishes!

  • @tinanatasha that school sounds like fun( i like to drink and smoke weed) and im creative but i dnt know if i could afford, sfsu any suggestions?

  • I came to SF just relying on loans for my MFA. Because I knew that waiting to save up $60,000 I would probably have other debts by then...

My advice: search for grants/scholarships and do short films that you can practice the techniques and build a strong portfolio, since this is the ULTIMATE GOAL. Whatever u decide to do, it better make u happy, since YOU will be doing it for the rest of your life. And stop being so negative!! hahaha

  • i've taken classes online, depending on the profs enthusiasm, its a 50/50 chance it would be good, unfortunately. Studio classes are like completing tutorials. You can use either pc/mac, just make sure you have the software needed, or a good hacker friend!

Onsite, depending on your attitude, involvement in group projects, and prof thats interested in teaching, it could be really great! Theres a lot of good competition, and really bad ones (since anyone can get in).

  • I hope you get there bro! I fell in love with this university and I face the same big question. Do I have enough dinero? Fafsa will help be it won't completely cover you and grants are kinda low on cash you either way you gotta pitch in 'something'. BEST WISHES!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MiyazakiTsuji yea same here i need sum feria but im a a very creative person, which school is better san francisco or academy of art sunnyvale

  • @TheMaciel89 honestly I would do the whole tour thing, lol but again it takes money to get thier. Man the government sure makes ppl work for an education, but they're the ones not giving anyone much to hope for when you think about it. It's messed up.

  • @MiyazakiTsuji yea ur rite. its all about the money, i ilive an hour away from academy of art sf so that's kinda far and it will costs money to get their, but sunnyvale is much closer and that could save me sum money, i'ma tour and c watsup

  • I think you should just get out there get all the loans and grants that you can, the ones you don't have to pay back are the best. Idk where you live but maybe you can go to school online. I know they want you to have a mac computer maybe you can get by with a PC.

  • Hey man im saving as much as possible for one year and transferring , fasfa will take care of the rest plus refund check cuz living in san fran is crazy expensive you gotta have a ...I gotta Dollar and a dream mindset

  • good joba man...

  • I always wanted to go to that university, good luck on getting accepted in the university.

  • @Dudley731 They accept anyone. ^___^

  • @808iRay I thought I had to take the SAT & ACT to get accepted, don't they need you're test scores first?

  • @Dudley731 Nope. i didnt have to do any of that. its a private art school.. so theyll accept anyone that can afford to pay tuition. just for 2 classes, i had to pay a little over 4g's >_< thank god for FAFSA

  • Hey you have the same book as me :)

  • what is that first intro song, i can never find the name

  • I just finished my spring semester and i'm moving into dorms in just a few weeks for the summer semester. AAU is cheaper than a lot of schools. Have you gotten tuition yet? Maybe I'll see you around classes soon. :P

  • fafsa does help a bit but they will whack you with loans

  • @BIGredsArtWORLD19 Just go on the academy of art university website and there a little form on the side where you fill out your information requesting one and it should show up in like a week

  • I truly hope that your aspirations came true :)

You seem like a hard working dude - you deserve to accomplish your dreams.

    Take care!

  • I just got accepted. All you really need is the money for the application and the class registration. Fasfa will take care of the rest.

  • @kindafresh Does it cover all tuition for you? I'm going next year and I wanna make sure haha :)

  • sounds like my family haha i love it !

  • lmao at the brotherly love at the end :)

made me laugh. i want to go there as well.. xcept the $ is soooo much :(

i was accepted buh i really have to figue the who $ thing out.. its such a great school

i have fam going there now. i hope ul be able to go soon!.

  • Lol nice vid. But you're doing the right thing!!! Imma bout to go there too (i'm in High School though, senior year), but even though they DO help you with financial aid and stuff, it's good to have some money in your own pocket, because it does suck up your money fast as hell.

But yeah, save up for a year or two then go for it, but make sure it's what you wanna do. The credits there are non-transferable so you gotta want it.

  • rappin....u started wit kracka now ur fuckin freestyles on here are hella dope man..dont worry ull get there..just set ur mind to it like everything else and it will be here..ur a fuckin dope person u can do alot and im pretty sure that bein able to do alot..is better than being able to do nothing..aight..one love bro..GRAFIK OUUTS!!! PAACCCE

  • hey man dont trip youll make it aight..ur the type of person that once they get there mind on something you wont stop till its finished..tattooing..u startd it and now ur fuckin tats look dope..skating.u started it u still do it an ur gettin better every moment u get on a board

  • I feel you on this, this is where I always wanted to go. I live close so I visited a lot and its a great school. I know its expensive, but theres financial aide and such which I'll be using. I decided I'm just gonna dive in head first. When the future comes afterwards I'll deal with it. Good luck.

  • I received the same catalog in the mail after I requested information. A lot of interesting majors at that school. And I understand about the financial situation. It's an expensive investment, but hey, it might be worth it at the end. I hope things work out for you.

  • I'm with ML1985. You should just talk to your admissions advisor and just apply for FAFSA at least. The school wants to accept anyone who has the drive to be there and they'll try to help any way that they can. I understand your concern because I'm looking to be there this fall for my MA and I'm going right after college with no real job yet. But the thing is, don't wait too long. And if you need to stay at home, start with the online program and then do the real classes as soon as you move.

  • Hay I understand exactly what your going threw, Im a senior in High school right now, I really wanted to go this school in the fall but now its like ugggh ,Idk i might get my general ed at fresno city then maybe i might transfer when I have the money, I want to go to AAU because I have talent. - Ignacio Perez

  • Hey man, I have to tell you. I was in your position about two years ago. I'm still here. Like everyone else who goes to school there, just dive in. They help you with loanns and financial aid.
