@clockwise28786 i was under the impression that you only get 2 channel lpcm via hdmi and need to use a breakout cable and optical lead to get dolby digital. maybe old info but i would look on the onkyo eu channel on here they have vids showing how to connect up and assign inputs etc etc.

WOW amazing setup-I install home theatre and this is nice. The only way to get it nicer is to have soeone run wires under the floor or in wall. Let me know if you need help, or have questions. I will be posting my vid soon!!!!

Nice setup, i have a question, how does it work for the exit of the video for both your xbox360 and PS3, because i have read that this amp only has one hdmi output and i am guessing that you have both consoles connected by HDMI to your amp. Thanks!

you should get 2 energizer power and play in black on each end of the tv 1 for xbox 360 and the other for ps3

but how do you make the sound of any game come out of your home theatre speakers when you're playing.

im thinking of the most complicated approach. so im not sure.

my approach:

(connect the home theatre system to the tv and to your console through another output. but im still confused as to how the home theatre speakers will work without having any CD/DVD inserted.)

Does your Home Theater Sound System have a Optical/Digital Audio Input? Because mine doesn't. And I'm trying to find a way to connect it to the TV or Xbox without it.

@NathanSOVANNY Im using the Onkyo TX-SR608 Receiver which has Optical inputs for audio but my Xbox Is connect via HDMI which does both audio and Video. But if your audio device cant support Adio via HDMI then youll need to connect it with a Optical Toslink Cable.. And if not that then Analoginen audio with RCA :/

Nice setup dude, love the tv and the stand is beautiful :) quick question if you don't mind, does your amp have HDMI in? If so have you got the 360 connected through HDMI or do you have the 360 connected to the tv and an optical from the 360 to the amp? Im trying to find out for definate if the slim 360 can do 5.1 over HDMI as last year when i had the old white 360 it wouldn't output 5.1 over HDMI so I want to find out if that has been fixed for the slim, cheers :)

@Snestastic The 360s is hooked up to the amp with HDMI (thats it) and it does output 5.1 audio.. Im pretty sure all Xbox360s with an HDMI output can do 5.1 audio though HDMI...

i love xbox, live is a pain in the butt, u have to always pay!!!! ps3 is good for online gaming, even though it lags when i play mw2 or bbc2. xbox is good for movies, solo gameplay and hd content. i love my xbox more than ps3. but never keep your xbox unplugged from the net, you tend to lose its full potential. i use my ps3 3 times a day

@GetterSpark It’s great. The size is perfect, not too big and not too small.. The picture quality is a lot better than my old 50" Sony. Yea the TV has a couple of small problems like that the software is a little bit slow and the viewing angles kinda suck.. But i always sit in the center so i don’t mind =)
