  • I feel so bad for the hermit fellow, his little cottage and all his possesions burned. Unless someone takes him in he nost likely end his days in the poorhouse. He and the monster had a real strong bond.

  • "this is wood for the fire!"..."wood'!! "and this is fire" "rrrrrrrrrr rrrr!!!!"

  • 'cigars...my only weakness..'

    'gin...my only weakness'

its apparent Dr. Pretorious has A LOT of weakness..

  • @TheMagentaPhoenix No, he has A LOT of only weaknesses.

  • Eats, drinks and smokes like a typical bloke. If they set this in modern times he'd be watching the footie too.

  • If you have not read the original book you should. It is so much more than any of the films, past or present. Although Boris is the best. When I read the book I was all for the Creature and loathed humanity. He was in part the X Men of the day in terms of a moral lesson, tolerance/intolerance. Remember they place this film in an ersatz Germany at the time the Nazis were persecuting Jews, Gypsies and homosexuals.

  • @globalman I Understand

  • Pretty little thing -in her own way ........

  • @SirChezarie Who?

  • @cstoczyn When the doctor and the 2 grave diggers open the coffin of the young woman whose bones will be used for the bride - one of the men looks at her remains and says- " Pretty thing -in her own way ."

  • @SirChezarie Before She Became The Monster's Mate, Huh?

  • @cstoczyn Yes- its the scene before the village woman is jumped and killed for her heart .

  • @SirChezarie The Woman That Karl Has Captured, Huh?

  • @cstoczyn yes- the woman in the street . All the more tragic her death was that the monsters mate died in the end as well

  • @SirChezarie I Know

  • The monster was getting baked!!!!

  • I feel bad for the hermit...

  • Smoke is good... Ah, those were the days, my friend....

  • aww pore frank!

  • Oh, come on! He doesn't look that bad! :(

  • I don't get why people find him so scary. Sure he looks a little different and he's quite tall, but there's nothing scary about him.

  • @powergirl07 If the monster heard you say that, I bet he would scream "THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Finally, someone who understands." But seriously, you are absolutely right with your statement.

The way I see it; if someone were to call somebody else ugly, I would tell them to take a good look in the mirror before they judge people. Sometimes, I think people who act cruel to others are even uglier than a disfigured individual.

If I met the monster, I would welcome him as my friend immediately

  • I like how easily the monster outsmarts the mob.

  • "The monster" does he really look that special, in a frightning way?

  • The parody of this particular scene in Young Frankenstein...is Hilarius!!..Gene Hackman is the blindman ...believe it or not!

  • I saw this on Cinemax just last night.

  • for his abnormal brain he learns quiet fast compared to the average stupid person with a normal brain

  • This is in my opinion what is missing in the Hulk movies and why do i mention Hulk? When stan lee created him he thought of him as a mixture between frankestein´s monster and doctor Jekyll and mr Hyde.

And while they got the Jekyll and mr Hyde part and some of the Frankenstein part in it they are missing the human part of the monster the part that Boris Carloff so excellent shows here that Frankensteins monster in truth is just a sad being looking for some place to belong.

  • How does that stool not break!?

  • this part with Dr. Pretorius is the best!

  • lol this is fun to watch! :)

  • Frankie can kick a little ass

  • Dr. Pretorius was certainly a crackpot!

  • The society made the monster a monster.

  • Dwight Frye...I thought it was Michael Ripper.

  • @MORKOS621

this would be a few years before michael ripper's time, and it would have been filmed in hollywood.

michael ripper was mostly in british financed horror movies.

  • @norristerse Actually, I think the guy I saw was Dwight Frye. I just thought it was Ripper.

  • @MORKOS621

you're right, it is Dwight Frye.

i can see the resemblance to Michael Ripper though

  • @norristerse He plays a guy named Carl, I think.

  • @MORKOS621

that's him! he also plays fritz (the hunchbacked assistant) in the first frankenstein and renfield in the 1931 dracula

  • @norristerse Talk about typecasting. He always gets killed by the monster.

  • @MORKOS621

bit unfair really. he asked for it in the first one but not in this one!

  • @norristerse I hear he once played the romantic lead?

  • @MORKOS621

i didn't know that! i can believe it, though

  • @MORKOS621 he did whith the bride!! :D

  • The monster, smokes and drinks.

Next he'll be whoring around the village.

  • @macman1138 Boooobs... Gooood... XD

  • superb everything

  • Karloff is absolutely the best Frankenstein's monster ever 8)

Thanks for loading this, I've been looking for it some time.. This movie came 4 TV about an half year ago, but I saw only a few minutes of it. //sry for my English

  • @yourVeiledLodger got that right,and mummy

  • @onemooners Oh, yes! :D I love Karloff's mummy - in fact I love nearly his every roles which I just have seen.

  • @yourVeiledLodger You should see Lugosi in the role...On second thought, maybe not. Frankenstein's monster was his worst role. Dracula and Igor were better roes for him. Frankenstein was Karloff's baby.

  • @MORKOS621 Actually I've seen Lugosi playing the monster, and unfortynately he was lousy - the style how he walked and made monster's noices, brrr... I just didn't like it. But you are right: he played Igor well, and he's the best Dracula I know.

Karloff wasn't the first man who played the monster in this world, but still I prefer him. Lon Chaney Jr. tried his best when he got the role, and I believe Lugosi did the same, but still they couldn't win Karloff.

  • @yourVeiledLodger Lugosi looked as if he were crying, when he was supposed to be snarling.

  • " Alone, bad. Friend, good." :)...

  • John Carradine!

  • @outworldarts You mean the taller of the two hunters? I thought so.

  • GOod ol' language immersion memories coming back to me XD
