The laughter from the audience caused the two to laugh in an awkward way, but Johnny recognized the compliment.

the thing with modern talk shows like this....the pace, the vibe you get from the interview, is so tense and forward moving. i feel like the audience hangs on every single statement dave or johnny says - instead of settling on the general undertone that a relaxed conversation can have. I hate it. it feels fake and tense to me. anybody else feel that rigidity? i can enjoy it nonetheless. i just feel like it's a sad play compared to what they could actually discuss

i agree with you. most actors do the same type of acting jobs. Johnny could easily have gone down the 'leading man/heartthrob' route eg. Brad Pitt but Johnny can turn himself into any character and hasn't really gone down the 'big budget films etc. although Pirates of the Carribbean is a big budget film franchise, but kids love Jack Sparrow. so do i come to that.
