Excellent! Thanks for taking the time to compare them. I have a Rustler VXL and a Slash 4WD Ultimate both 3S Li-Po. I haven't compared them side by side but I'd say with confidence that the Rustler is quite a bit quicker on concrete anyway, even with an old battery. The battery (Thunderpower 5,000 ma-Hr) went right to 0.0 volts a few years ago and stayed there for a month or two but I charged it up (carefully) and it still did 76 kph on a RADAR the other day.

Nice video man! Ive got a 2wd Pede VXL and Slash UltimateVXL. Ive spent most of my time bashing my Slash once i purchased it, but MAN it sure is a different kind of beast when runnin my Pede! The Slash is indestructable but the Pede requires better control. I really enjoyed your comparison video!! Good job my friend

I have a stampede 4x4 vxl and a slash that is upgraded to vxl with many mods including sway bars....I beat most nitro and and 4x4 slash in drags.... recommend the sway bars for anyone..... I also beat a revo 3.3, t-maxx 2.5r and HPI savage numerous times.... actually I beat my friends revo 3.3 so many times he sold it and bought a slash...LOL Electric all day long...LOL

Actually Watts is a ratio of horsepower. you can find out the power in watts from your motor by using the equation P=VI, where V is volts and I is your current of your battery. If you want to go from watts to horsepower you just divide your watts by 746 and that's how many horses you have.

Not sure, the amperage of the battery is important as is the voltage of the battery, but you gotta also include weight ratio. I couldn't really tell you to be honest.

@Dirtlooter There's so much inertia vs. centripetal force on the tire that it literally flexes it outward. Find a video of someone holding a Stampede and just putting the throttle at full. It'll flex about 3-times it's size, if not more!

Cool video... It really depends on what you are after, control or speed... I have no doubts that the Slash would dominate the 2x4 'pede on a track. As far as the acceleration of the 'pede goes, the TQ radio doesn't do it any favors, a good radio with adjustable EXPO would smooth out its launch...

I have a real VXL 4X4 Stampede and a Slash 4X4 VXL. Let me tell you - the top speed and acceleration on the Slash is better. I run both on the same 3s lipo cell . You have messed with the tires, gear ratio, and 2x4 instead of 4x4 and as a result you will not prove anything. Keep having fun though!

@elbory1246 sorry i dont ever plan on getting a stampede 4x4, i have a heavily modded 2x4 stampede vxl and a slash 4x4 platinum edition, but in less than a month i do plan on getting a savage x 4.6 or a revo 3.3, i love nitros, i really enjoy working with engines

@elbory1246 You won't beat an E Revo with a Mamba Monster. You can get those things up to 95mph with the right gearing. Stampedes will lose control at that speed.

@Cmoney2451 nice, ur gonna want to get a temp gauge, like a duratrax one, and keep the motor 160 degrees or lower and 130 or lower for the esc (120 degrees ferenheight is better for the esc or lower) if u dont keep the temps down it will fry up nice and quick

@Cmoney2451 the only down fall if you convert it is that its a million times better and you will drive it all the time. and if you do you might want to think about upgradeing to Heavy-Duty Hub Carriers & Steering Blocks for the ball bearings! the xl-5s only have bushings and will pretty much desinigrate.

2 things... the stampede would have beater acceleration if u adjust the wheelie bar, so the wheels wont come of the ground as much. and second. this test is not accurate cuz the stampede is old and the slash was new

@speedquad123 ok 1. stampede is NEW! ok i just bought that xl5 and got a vxl system, and 2. my wheelie bar was all the way down! 3. the slash has 4x4 which gives it an AMAZING amount of traction, and 4. talons balloon, and old or new doesnt make a difference, i know people that have one way older than mine and could go just as fast, and i know the slash has a newer design, thats the point of the test......

My buddy has a Stampede with the stock 540 brush motor, so I went out and purchased a slash 4x4 with a brushless motor and a venom 5000mah battery and I was told it would drive circles around my friends Stampede; is it true? He will be comming over this weekend and I will record the results......

@Clay4legacy any brushless motor vs brushed=brushed will get WHOOPED, especially because the 4x4 doesn't pop wheelies of the line, but if that brushed motor gets run too hard it will get burned up, i burned up 2 brushed motors in 2 weeks easily, thats why i converted to vxl, lasts longer and gives out more power and reliability, overall the slash will most likely win, u made a great choice on buying the 4x4, its a great truck, it will be slower than a stampede VXL, but faster than a brushed pede

Awesome trial. We have 3 brushless pedes and a slash 4x4 all run the Velineon system. I'll have to take some video of them racing each other. We end up with the same results too.
