@hrdknox2000 I was a yong mother with no idea what my 1980's would continue to be...I loved this song...just didn't know who sang it. It was soulful and heartfelt. Now, in 2011, I know who he was. I heard this song a few weeks ago...stopping me dead in my tracks after spending an entire day obsessing about my child joining a cult, the nightmares of everything that could go wrong with that. For more than 3 min I fogot the hell completely, and ordered his CD's on Amazon. That day, he saved me.

I am so glad this song inspired you...I feel something special when I hear it....but my name is Sherri. Might have something to do with it.
