@TheMisterzizz90 you are right..it is a fandango--Beaumarchais had it in the play, so Da Ponte and Mozart used in their adaptation of it for their opera. Plus the original Figaro (Francesco Benucci) had spent time in Spain and was very familiar with the fandango--so including it in this scene allowed him to show off not only his singing but also his dancing skills!
i absolutly adore this moment, when the march start and the recitatif continues on it...
