Anyone notice how when a black person commits a crime it's because they need money or something like that but when a white person commits a crime it's some crazy Old White guy who raped and killed a bunch of woman for no god damn reason.
I read that it is african american men who do the most crimes and sexual conduct. And it's african american women who are more agressive and rude. I'm african american, and I'm not agressive, but I agree with this becuase I've seen so much of it, but, they shouldn't only look at blacks. It's upseting to see these young black people doing this crap, they make other african americans look bad...(this is my opinion)
I go to school at a university in inner city Saint Louis. We get an incident report via email at least once or twice a weekend. Every time it lists the perpetrator as a black male, without exception. so I, for one, will tell you that the stereotype is true at least in the inner city.
I know there is ALOT of racism but honestly what about the descrimination in general? I am rewatching this show about 8 years later. I figured now, with much further education and age, I could watch it a bit more sober-minded than a highschooler and see what the backlash against it was about. I see his stats etc were misleading at times but I can't help but think his argument doesn't turn on them. The point is there's a culture in america that says you are always in danger and that violent reaction is the best response. I find that point is well supported in the show

I like to consider myself one of the most racially tolerant people I know. I try very hard not judge someone based on their skin colour or religion. I think the only reason slavery was eliminated was so blacks could feed the economy and make the US even richer. Think about it, why didn't they just take them back to Africa where they were stolen from? They wanted them to stay here so they could feed the economy as wage slaves. They knew blacks would just get labor jobs because they'd never be accepted enough to gain higher paying jobs as scientists, engineers, etc...it's happened today, but at the time, that was probably the thinking.

I'm not going to lie, but I am black and when I go through the black neighborhood, I lock my car doors and pray I get out alive. However, I know many intelligent black men. They actually make something of their lives. It's sad how little hope these guys have and think selling drugs is the way of life when there are so many options for them. I am rewatching this show about 8 years later. I figured now, with much further education and age, I could watch it a bit more sober-minded than a highschooler and see what the backlash against it was about. I see his stats etc were misleading at times but I can't help but think his argument doesn't turn on them. The point is there's a culture in america that says you are always in danger and that violent reaction is the best response. I find that point is well supported in the show

I do not agree that Michael Moore manipulates any truth to the comment listed below. He is simply using the facts about murder rates in Canada and the United States. He is teaching us that Canada has millions of guns, but does not kill people at the rate as Americans kill each other. It is apparent that the U.S. has problems with their gun control. the only reason people die from an africanized bee sting(which since the breed that has killed people was a cross between the european bee and the african be that came about in brazil it makes it a brazilian bee) is because more of them sting you at once and that results in more concentrated toxins from the bee stings but if just one or two stung you like the european bee then you would survive just fine unless you were allergic to bee stings.

I like to consider myself one of the most racially tolerant people I know. I try very hard not judge someone based on their skin colour or religion. Yet I still get scared when I walk by a black guy on the street. Fact: Norway has a large amount of gun owners yet hardly any homicides. It also has a much lower assault, rape, and burglary statistics
Fact: Everyone 18 year old in Switzerland must own a rifle, has even lower restrictions on guns than the US and it also has a very low homicide rape and statistics etc.
Fact: When Australia banned guns people lost many abilities to defend themselves, and crime sky rocketed. Between 2001-2007 Rape went up 31% assaults went up by 6% and burglary by 20%

The reason you always hear about black males committing crimes is because they are 7 times more likely to kill someone and 8 times more likely to rob someone compared to whites.
There are areas in the inner cities where around half of the black males 18 - 25 are criminals.
This is not a perception, it is reality. See FBI uniform crime reports.

I think the only reason slavery was eliminated was so blacks could feed the economy and make the US even richer. Think about it, why didn't they just take them back to Africa where they were stolen from? They wanted them to stay here so they could feed the economy as wage slaves. They knew blacks would just get labor jobs because they'd never be accepted enough to gain higher paying jobs as scientists, engineers, etc...it's happened today, but at the time, that was probably the thinking.

the point of the this documentary is, anecdotal evidence like yours is not ruled out...stuff like that sadly happens but it's not AS widespread (acc. to crime stats b/w 1992-2001) as network TV wants you to believe..
inner cities suffer from gang crime/youth violence..but white suburbia suffers also from murder, fear, gun obsession and even terrprism (tim mcveigh)

I'm not going to lie, but I am black and when I go through the black neighborhood, I lock my car doors and pray I get out alive. However, I know many intelligent black men. They actually make something of their lives. It's sad how little hope these guys have and think selling drugs is the way of life when there are so many options for them.
