The plan was to observe and confirm his (frustrated) return, but he never reappeared during the 4 hours of tape we rolled, perhaps because of the big change in the look of the area or the ruckus I made sealing it up. I confirmed his exit the next day by crawling under the house myself where I had previously met him face-to-face once before. Now the crawlspace was fragrant, but empty.
