Pendatchanska IS exceptional. This aria encompasses a horrific range. Treacherously difficult to pull off. Her rendition is truly impeccable. What characterisation! What musicality! Bravo!

@FarinelliNBG I love Moser but not as Vitellia. Vaness, Varady, Popp, and Pendatschanska are all better in this role/aria.

@pedrofribeiro Again, I think she was a great singer. Love her Queen of the Night and Donna Anna, as well as the excerpts I've heard of her Konstanze, Elettra, Aspasia, and (in a non-Mozartian role) Knuperhexe. But from what I know she never even sang the full role of Vitellia, and her low notes in this aria are not pleasant in the least.
