As for Rome, a thousand-year nation isn't really the best example for one being 'cut short' especially when acceptance of homosexuality was more a trait of its early, healthy years. One could make a better case that Christianity led to its downfall, though the truth is far more complex. As for STD's, I guess that makes the lesbians correct.

some friends of mine and I tried to start a GSA, and we couldn't because of that bill or a bill similar that regulated the clubs in my school district -fumes-

@EvilehJane That's shameful, but remember this...Oklahoma is ALSO home of Robin Myers and the Mayflower Church and many other great open and affirming churches. It's home of Woody Guthrie, and once had more socialists than any other state. We have a proud progressive tradition, were ONCE home to many farmers who cared for their neighbor and believed in justice and equality, we were not always backwards and radical right bigots.

@snamaarGoliM My friend asked the principle about it and she said that the school board decided recently that clubs had to revolve around school curriculum. However clubs made before then that weren't curriculum based were okay (we have a guitar club and an anime club) but no.. we can't have a GSA... D:

According to God? Okay. This is what I fucking hate the most. If you don't agree with the LBGT lifestyle, fine. Everyone has different opinions. Everyone was brought up differently and I truly believe that what makes us American - having our own opinions. I'll agree to disagree. But don't go around saying it's what "God" doesn't want. These people act like they know for sure that there is a god. Religion has made people extremely IGNORANT.

I was raised in Christianity, and while I'm trying to distance myself from it I find my conscience agreeing with most of what she saying (although I don't take it to that extreme). While I want to tolerate them, deep down I still see LGBTs as generally "weird", although I don't really think they're infiltrating America. But still...What are the facts to refute what she's saying?

Well, I hate to admit it, but she's partly right. I live in San Francisco and there's something inherently evil with the gay male homosexual. I hung out with one as a friend for a while and learned a lot of his secrets. He saw no problem sleeping with a man who had gone to prison for molesting his son. He saw no problem having sex with a tatooed heterosexual musician with a kid who used him for whatever money he had. I think lesbianism is okay. I'm okay with it, but gay men stink.
