The initial investigation concluded that cooke was struck with a flashlight...and what was Cooke being arrested for? Also, the witnesses stories changed repeatedly from the original statements to when they got to court. The initial investigation concluded that cooke was struck with a flashlight...and what was Cooke being arrested for? Also, the witnesses stories changed repeatedly from the original statements to when they got to court. The investigation did conclude he was struck, 3 times by what is unknown. The reason he was struck was because he sucker punched Dan after he was told he was being arrested. He was only struck 3 times. If you ask me he got lucky. All witnesses' stories stayed the same for 25 years now except 1. Mumias brother who originally said his brother did changed his story. While mumia may never committed a violent felony his rap sheet was about as long as a country mile.

there would be no fair trial this long after. there were eye witnesses that night, good luck finding them now years later, most are dead. most of the police that were involved that night are also dead. it has been 25 years, memories are not as clear now as they were during his original trial. there would be nothing fair or honest about it.
