Related, I suppose - did you see UltraJMan's speedrun? He not only gets his bike back from the game, but his mother gives . . . uh, Mother a good talking to. Beating this game in less than two and a half hours as a single-segment run seems almost absurd.

We remember the video and audio, but it's still one of the best Let's Plays I've ever seen. Without this LP I never would have been interested in Let's Plays or even La Mulana in the first place. Thank goodness you did!

Was the Chain Whip that essential to your plan at the time? Was it just that you didn't remember correctly and angered by it? The Flare Gun is an essential piece, really. @mackiovirus Flares would actually kill Amphis faster than the chain whip. Flares are basically the abuse every boss subweapon except for 3. Well 4 if you count Amphis considering it faster with shurikens
