  • Smoooth as budder I tell ya!

  • Used to sing harmony, I am so jealous of these guys for they were superb.

  • the mills brothers recorded more songs, then any other vocal group, and they were the very best vocal group!!! never again will you hear voice and harmony like this again rip awesome!

  • Great backup on "So Rare": studio band, or ...?, anybody know? The Mills Brothers, the most successful male American group of all time, with 71 chart singles.

  • AWSOME!!

  • this music is SO RARE and i love it. Thnx grandpa for kickin me down some OG game!

  • Total Class, in a time when being african-american was very, very difficult, especially in music. My Dad loved these guys, & it's clear to see why he did. Wolfsky9, 64 y/o

  • love it, did they do an earier versoin of So Rare?

  • "So Rare" is the Mills Brothers talent.

  • @CzapigaKielbasa B-B-B-B-BOOH YAH!!

  • Belíssimo conjunto vocal. Pena que foi engolido pelo tempo. Hoje em dia, o que há de comparável a ele?

  • Melody. i remember that.

This tune is classy, refreshing, sophisticated.

  • the mills brothers are the best have always loved them . their voice even got better as they got older ,same as old blue eyes got better as they got older . great thank you

  • good stuff

  • sounds like a summer music

  • By this time they had been performing for just about (or over) 40 yrs wow

  • You can hear the influence they had on Dean Martin

  • i remember as a little girl from a small town in ohio when my daddy came home and put on the mills brothers...it was one of the best memories of all...he was always happy and smiling when listening...thank you for all these wonderful memories

  • Great post ! Great songs. Great vocalists.

Don't like cockroaches, but love "La Cucaracha".

  • Smooooooooooooth!

  • all i wanted to find was who sang cab driver. then i found the mills bros way b4 my time but wow they can do it all,

  • These recordings are from a time when the human voice was used as a musical instrument.

  • @saturn5100 Which makes the title of this song that much more relevant, talk about a song ahead of its time..

  • Listening to these guys sing is like sipping a fine, aged bourbon, it just gets better as time goes by.

  • They make it seem so easy... they can lift a mood with the harmonies..

    thanks for the post!

  • With the songs posted here, albums, etc, they will live on until the end of time. Too bad the new acts can't even come close.

  • Just incredible. many many thanks for posting...

    Wayne in Texas...sigh......

  • As my former conductor eentually started working for the brothers, had the rare opportunity to be able to watch them from Coast to Coast. Their shows were as classy as they were. Great showmen, also!!!!

  • Wow ! That`s cool.

I wish I coud have heard them Live,

but I`m afraid I was too young.

    Man ,they swing !!

  • i love it .....

  • Easter 1975 my new wife and I were at Disneyworld in Orlando and had the good fortune to see the Mills Brothers perform. Despite the fact that they were collectively nearly 240 years old they put on ONE HELL OF A SHOW !No politics, no vulgarity just pure entertainment. In short, a class act.

  • Precious memories of my ((((mom and daddy)))

dancing back in their day.....thank you, thank you!!!

  • they sure dont sing like this anymore.... too bad. Its melody you can not help but appreciate.

  • They sing 'effortlessly'. True talent.

  • smooth. like whole milk from a pitcher.

  • the greatest singing group of all time. all others pale in comparison.

  • AND YOUR BEEF IS?

  • Bass instead of one of the Mills Brothers? Bleh.

  • And the bass makes it better. Fuller and a better sound.

  • @MattMurdockCZ

That really is an uninformed comment. If you look at the range of the years they performed, and be objective, you will quickly come to realize that they, as far as i can remember, remained effective as vocalists for a longer span than anyone else I can bring to mind. They started in 28 and performed professionally and consistently till Harry died in 82, with the two remaining brothers continuing. Anyone else out there close?

  • @nontrog They were the one and only, they are still in my mind amazing! I am 57, and loved to listen to my mothers "ol 45's", in the lounge room, pretending I was singing with them. Such a talent, gone missing these days...... Aus

  • @MattMurdockCZ

lol jazz snobbery is alive and well

  • @stormcats2

    You are a PUTZ!!!

  • @HoboGus Mills Brothers are awesome any era

  • @MattMurdockCZ LIKE HELL IT DOESN'T

  • Picked up these tunes to my faves after hearing the first seconds!

  • as smooth as milk pouring out of a pitcher.

  • Piano interlude at 1.14 is terrific!!

  • A classic lives on!

  • Thank you so much for So Rare. I have this on record at home, but I wanted a friend to hear it and this is the best place I know of.

The Mills Brothers are simply THE BEST!

  • My grandma sang La Cucaracha for me when i was young. Nice to listen this song recorded by my favourite music group.
