I saw Carole at the Mann Music Center for her tour that year. She very nearly went through her catalogue that night(including "Don't Bring me Down"). If I remember correctly, when she introduced "Pleasant Valley Sunday," she said her niece and nephew talked her into it. I was impressed with Brie Howard; a couple of years later, we were introduced to Vicky Randall in the "Tonight Show" band; with her, Howard and Shiela E. where did these singing percussionists come from?
