  • I never liked this route, hahaha i farmed all my crystarium with adamantortoises =D

  • Actually, the *best* spot to farm CP is at the end of Chapter 13. The Wladislaus there gives 32k CP per battle, and so does the Jabberwocky/Bandersnatch combo. If you are smart enough to get the Growth Egg at some point before this (via Death), then you will get 64k per battle.

Of course, this is only available before you beat the game, so you can't use it to max out Stage 10. However, if you're going to do so later, then use this spot to max out *all* of Stage 9 and the max 999,999 reserves.

  • @Muhahahahaz With this method, you will easily get 2.5-3 million CP per hour.

Post-game, I would go after the instant staggers. Much easier and faster.

  • @Muhahahahaz

I've had my reserves maxed out since the end of Chapter 11 and was quite sad to learn that you don't get an expansion until post-game anyway. At least I can use the Sacrifices to rack up some gil, though.

  • Why the hell would you do this when you can kill the two instant staggers by the same save point for 13K every 4 seconds?

  • wow I think someone was high when they made that creepy ass thing...

  • how to get them to grow fast

  • I am on chapter 11, and I'm walking to where you are but there's no Cactuars. What am I doing wrong?

  • @DarthFart94 Sometimes there are not any Cactuars, they werent there when i first got to gran pulse

  • @DarthFart94 theres an area to the north wheres theres like 5 long gui's, theres also a small hill beside them, just search all the map if you wanna be sure and you get a cutscene with them, carefull though, they are really tough at the beginning.

  • Some players are better off fighting the Megisto (can't spell the name very well) and Behemoth you always get pre-emptive strikes and the fight lasts for 2 seconds.

After battle just run up the hill past the save point then run back down the hill and the monsters respawn out of thin air, this worked for me both 360 and PS3 versions.

  • bratzpixii4eva . you can do the stones anytime, best to beat the game first and then do them when your stronger to 5 star them for achievment/trophy

  • Am I the only one that thinks FF13 was kinda shite? Not really lookin foward to the sequel.

  • I'm on chapter 11 just after Vanille's eidolon battle and all i've done is the 2nd mission i think. I was wonderin if i complete the main story could i do the c'ieth stones afterwards or do i have to do them as i go along in the game? I tried to do mission 3 but it didnt show the enemy when i reached its destination? Please help :/

  • @ZelluS136 if you do it good you can do a battle in 33 seconds so 1 min battle and walk to the next is possible iI average 49secs now. The 2min is for starting person 1.8 mill per hour is achieveable

  • @Firezword

Now I can see it. I maxed all characters, and now I can kill him in 35-45 sec.

  • 1.8 million per hour?

30000 CP every 2 minutes. Hour has 60 minutes, then 60minutes/2minutes=30minutes(30 battles).

    30 battles x 30000 CP=900000 CP..

Go to school and learn so maths man.

  • @ZelluS136 double that, some of us have growth egg.

  • @BenRaikaru

30000 CP is with Growth Egg.. 15000 CP whitout Egg

  • One of my favorite spots to grind is Mission #34. The enemy is a Tonberry who you can kill in 30 seconds if you Debuff him first. 15,000 CP (with "Growth Egg") + 7 Bomb Cores. Fight him 14 times in 30 minutes and you'll have 210,000 CP + 98 Bomb Cores useful for Upgrading. The Cieth Stone and Mark are not far apart so the enemy reappears without having to go through the hassle of saving and reloading. Try it!

  • you might also try using the rapid growth paradigm with fang, snow, and lightning. if you've leveled ur syn's then you can get most of the buffs before it turns prime including enfire (cactuar weakness) then just use either 2 com's and a sen, or 3 com's. doing it this way it usually takes about 44 seconds a fight for me.

  • man all i need is every weapon and acessories which is a pain in the ass n worst then that last mission which was kinda hard

  • You can also try going inside Mah'habara. There's one area near a dead end with about 6 Bombs spawning from the wall. They give out about 20k CP at 4 second cycle times (well for me that is) with growth egg. They're pretty easy considering you're probably farming CP in post game.

  • isnt the gui's better cause i belive you get 50k for them and i can beat them faster then you are the cactuar

  • How do you get Cactuars?

  • @ninjashiek8 to get cactuars you have to beat missions 11/12 i think then take a chocobo up on a rise somewhere in central GP. If im wrong let me know cuz its bee awhile an i wanna play it again now.

  • @MCServerNewb Just get the cactaur doll where there is a bunch of Adamentoise.

  • Comment removed

  • im trying to advance in the game and idk if i should cause idk if im able to comeback to this point...should i grind alot more then go? or just go and i can come back or something

  • @k1eee You're able to come back to this area in Chapter 13. But you might wanna do a couple of Cie'th stone missions--maybe like the first ten.

  • @k1eee If you're talking about being able to come back to Gran Pulse, then yes, after you defeat Orphan (who is easy as hell btw) you can come back to Gran Pulse through a portal I believe.

  • 1.8 million CP is quite an exaggeration =( I do use/like this grinding spot though! I just can't get 1.8 mill out of it per hour at all.

  • how to unlock the growth egg mission? mine does't seem to be available yet. im at chapter 12. WTF

  • @natsoy Mission 55: "Can't we all just get along?"

    Mark: Neochu

Cie'th Stone location: Oerba - Deserted Schoolhouse (Roof)

Mark location: The Archylte Steppe - Aggra's Pasture

    Class: A

Unlock Conditions: Defeat Barthandelus in Oerba and complete mission 14.

    Reward: Growth Egg

    Sec. Reward: Moonblossom Seed (x2)

I quoted this from the official FFXIII guide. If you seem to have trouble fighting him, using Death (equip Belladonna Wand) might be a gamble but can give you an easy victory.

  • so where is this on the map?

  • WTF who is that? and how do i fight him? and what is growth egg?

    i am in chapter 11

  • @commander3zoz explore gran pulse eventually there will be a cutscene with him around the main body of pulse. after that they appear in random places. The growth is an item from a mission that will give you double cp.

  • meh it's more efficient to kill oretoises

  • where do you find these things i just got done beatin alexander and im out in that area but cant find them at all

  • @TheOfficalJory you need to go to the "Eastern Tors" area. Look for the circle of cieth stones, then (while facing the cliff) go left until you find an Adamantortoise in a path between two cliffs. Go past it (it's not hard) and follow follow the cliff around to the left. There is an Adamanchield blocking the way to some "steps" up the cliff, and I'm not sure if you need to kill it or not to get past. At the top, you'll get a scene with a cactaur. Now, cactaurs can be found like normal enemies.

  • lol these guys rnt hard to kill xD just use enfire with sazh or hope on fang and lightning and triple com it ^^

  • actually it's best to go through the fault warrens a bunch of times. you can pull 100k with out the growth egg down a certain path. then go to the orotoises. can't say i didn't beat on these annoying cactus for a while though.

  • I kinda wish i stayed in the room where you find the sword guy who gives 32000 crystarium without egg =( but i moved on to clock the game instead =/ big mistake shoulda capped crystarium if thats even poss...

  • @SeWrath After learning how to kill the 4 toises in Archylte with the right set-up, you can easily earn 320,000 CP from them. That's with the Growth Egg, of course.

  • @DexwardCuxann Yea but the sword guy was trash =/ These toises are fucking BEAST!!!

  • Just do the Behemoth and other guy pre emptive combo.

  • @iwasptvsomething in one hour using that tactic, you can get close to maxing out the role if you have the growth egg.

  • i kill adamantoise in 2-4mins and get awsome drops y would i kill these every 2min and get less then half CP and no cash

  • i find its easier to just kill the two big creatures fighting each other down the hill where he starts off at u get like 6.5k cp without the egg and u can kill them in about 10 secounds if you do it right because u can always pre-strike them then just walk up the hill and turn around and they respawn

  • I'm only getting 10000? Getting 5 stars aswel and also have growth egg?

  • @DwayneBrown92 I think you've got to let the cactuar grow to get more CP.

  • @pkryoda Just copped that didn't actually pay attention to the battle just the spots my bad lol

  • Next time put 1.8 million what cause I thought that it was for gils and i desperately need a shit load!

  • i tried this out and it works wonders. the only thing i changed that worked better than this strategy is having lightning instead of snow, and instead of having fang a sentinel, having her also as a synergist. and using bravara and faithra on her and faithra on hope as well. just be careful cause lightning's provoke may not always work but you can still win the battle, it'll just take a bit longer. other than that, this place to farm is one of the best

  • lol, go to hc baily and watch his lets play, he shows an easy lv grindin spot

  • @AznHope25 because there is only 1 cactuar at the save point and there are 2 at the other spot. it has much higher efficiency

  • @Firezword but if you went back up that ledge at 0:14, then that cactuar will keep respawing. btw thanks for grinding technique, i use the same thing you do, but use hope, lightning and fang

  • how come you didn't go to the cactuar that was near your save point

  • Currently working on gettin platinum for the game and this might help so thanks

  • i think the best way to get cp is to kill that group of six bombs in Mah'habara.

All you have to do is cast quake and finish off survivors, It takes like 10 seconds and you get 14000 cp if you have the growth egg.

Then just run away a little bit so they can respawn and repeat.

  • i got all the trophies, but i didn't know that the cactuars can grow like that!

  • 1.8? not good brah

  • I'm so glad you posted this b/c ive seen soooo many vids saying that Admantoises are the best grinders. They are so wrong on many levels. This is the best grind spot in the entire game with CP Egg. I maxed my characters twice with this grind.(I beat the game twice)

  • Where the hell is this at?!

  • @snoopy4life Its in Gran pulse but alot of this you need a pretty advanced Crystarium too kill so go on into Eden and get too Orphans cradle and take the portal from there back too Gran pulse and farm CP too get stronger ofc im not gonna do any of what i just said as farming in Orphans cradle is EASY

  • Might also be worth mentioning that to get this fight to end quicker it'd be a good idea to Libra the first to stages of the cactuar, as this will make hope cast Enfire on your party and make this fight much faster.

  • i know an area where u can get about 30k-50k in 5min only with chars at 5-8k hp

  • @TOanarchy where! ? :) please tell ? :D

  • You need to mention that you already have the growth egg, because you're getting double the normal CP. I'm sure when players fight against the Cactuar Prime, without the growth egg, see that they only receive 15000 CP instead of 30000, they may be confused.

  • i can't find him

  • you can also try to use the death spell trick on neochu it worked for me

  • @Firezword Same here, done it yesterday, Vanille/Sab Hope(less)/Med Snow/Sent, easy as pie :P

  • Now I will get stronger, and finally defeat that annoying NeoChu for the precious Growth Egg...

  • @myang245 The way I beat neochu was a combo of Energy and speed sashes for random instant chain. After that, have a sen keep the aggro while a med heals and you beat down the neochu. Kill seeds if he spews them

  • @myang245 just deathspam it with vanille, easy kill.

  • @myang245 1 year ago hmm... well you probabaly aready got it.. if this was sooner i woulda said ''Way ahead of ya mate!''

  • @myang245 uhh... just death spam it... usually works with first cast for me :P
