I'm growing mine and I find it's hard to find hairstyles that don't need to use damaging methods (blowdrying, teasing, curling irons, straighteners, hairspray) I generally just bun my hair or a braid it because I don't want it to get damaged and need to cut it all off again!

He says in His word that the lady should dress (nicely with modesty) as if for Him, for the married dress as for her husband... this is good... now it'll be wrong to spend hours in front of the mirror for hours to try to make yourself look good in pride...

but as women we should fix ourselves up and look nice for our Lord.. =]

Doing your hair pretty is not vanity. lol, Doesn't just about everybody use a mirror to get ready?? I know I do, and I am glad that you post your vids on here because it has helped me out so much with different hairstyles. Plus yours are so quick and easy and come out so pretty. I just cried while watching this actually. Brought back many good memories! When I first left Islam I went to a UPCI church. I don't believe in "Acts 2:38 salvation" anymore (thats a topic for another thread!!!) but I miss how you girls did your hair. You are truely more beautiful than any worldly girl. I think this is a lovely hairstyle, but I find it sad that you think you can't love Jesus if you cut your hair or put a bow in it. I love him with all my heart and mind but I think it's more important what's on the inside than outside. Jesus died so we didn't have to live 'religiously' anymore but so we could be in freedom and relationship with our Father! I would love to be able to do my hair like this though!

My hair is just a little below my waist. I haven't cut it for 3 years now so I'm anxious to see if I can do these hairstyles. I wear the same one 2 church all the time either the top and sides in a barrette and back hanging down or have it in a ponytail and headband. Thx 4 videos. Beautiful hair btw. If I had not cut my hair when I was 14 it would be to the floor now:( Wish I had left it alone.

Because it doesn't say we can't do our hair. God expects the best ff us when we go to His services so we try to look out best. He says not to cut it so we don't, period. If he told us not to put in on a ponytail then we wouldn't. My hair is probably as long as hers.

Actually the Word says that if it is SHORN it might as well be SHAVEN, so think about that! If you SHEER a sheep it is cut pretty close and if you SHAVE a sheep it is shorter still. To be "SHORN" is to be cut really, really SHORT.

Hey girl--you should have like second day hair and if you have really soft hair, just tump your head over and spray your hair lighty with hairspray (like an aeresol) so it will be more manageable. Hope this helps..I can't work with my hair when it's real soft.

I thought i couldnt do this either, my hair is just as long as well as uber thick and curly, but it really does work quite nicely. I finally got it where I wanted it about the third time I tried it, and my bun came out quite a bit bigger, but I think it could work on just about anybody.
