  • 0:38! HOLY FUCK! SETH ROGEN!

Am I right or am I right? :D

  • Chut up!

  • The dad was trying to cover up his laugh with a cough lol I do that all the time. Funny.

  • he does have a point...like wtf does stealing the money but returning the wallet have to do with either fear or love? :D

  • i love how the dad laughs :D

  • @job489 captain obvious to the rescue

  • Am i the only one who knows where the "john wayne" line came from? REPOMAN! NOT THE GENETIC OPERA. REPOMAN THE MOST AWESOME 80S MOVIE EVER.

  • Anyone else notice Seth Rogen in 0:37?

  • @IcyScythe its a movie called Repo Man (not to be confused with Repo Men)

  • Too bad that mankytoes comment "expired" as a top comment--it was classic. I guess Team Youtube decided it was UNFAIR for someone's comment to be the "winner" for too long. [rolls eyes]

  • Top comments are the most epic i have seen on youtube.

  • Top 2 comments are LULZ. XD

  • Jake Gyllenhaal is fuckin hot NO LIE;)

  • @MegaBlackkitten

    I know right !!

  • ps: 666 likes right now. perfect.

  • WOW. 666 likes and 6 dislikes.

  • does anyone know thats eraserhead as the dad???

  • @xxxskunkymunkyxxx No, Donnie's dad isn't "Henry" from David Lynch's movie Eraserhead. I see the similarity though. Jack Nance (Henry) died back in December 1996. Holmes Osborne (Eddie Darko, Donnie's dad) is still alive & well, and appearing in movies and TV series.

  • @0hNoNotHimAgain oops honest mistake... thanks for not bashing me... im glad sumone appreciates david lynch movies btw....

  • @xxxskunkymunkyxxx Well, there's already enough (too much!) unnecessary bashing going on in Youtube comments without MY adding to it. Besides, we Donnie Darko (and David Lynch) fans should stick together. As you may know, there's a fair amount of crossover between fans of Donnie Darko and David Lynch movies--and Donnie Darko is often compared to Mulholland Drive and vice versa. (Curiously enough, the two movies were released only a couple of weeks apart in October 2001!)

  • I love how his dad giggles then you can see him laughing when walking out

  • The two best top comments that actually relate to the video. I salute you.

  • bitches... so easy to insult.

  • I love his Dad. His response to things is so funny.

  • @Aroreiel , Hahahaha Agree!!

  • his dad is a legend haha

  • What's up with the Repo Man quote at the begining?

  • my dad and i were watching this and my dad laughed out loud when donnie's dad laughed lol

  • the best part is when his dad laughed xD

  • Am I the only one who finds it weird that this movie's popularity was stunted because 9/11 occured at the time? Coincidence? weird as heck......

  • @darkxoasis yes, coincidence.

  • @darkxoasis A lot of things were stunted because of 9/11. Am I mad that it happened? Yeah. But instead of asking questions. We just shut out reason and became consumed by fear.

  • Donnie, you're out of your element.

  • whats with the beginning...thats not the clip?

  • Hey, that's Seth Rogen as one of the bullies in the back

  • mankytoes and FlingsPooAtTheZoo, you succeed in life

  • Donnie Darko's dad is so funny in this movie

  • The teacher comment at the end always makes me laugh like hell!!! This movie is awesome and im glad my mom took me to watch it in 2001 even though i was 8.

  • Fuck school. Fuck university. They want you to become idiots.

  • Best dad ever!

  • @xkennyPLx thats what I was thinking LOL I'm pretty sure EVERY DAD who has a regular relationship with their sun would find that funny. I know I would laugh.

  • @jcudal32 I think every living creature has a regular relationship with their SUN. :D

  • @DAEDALUSft LOOOL DAMN I was too hyper from the awesomeness. LOL Sun could be the name of a korean boy LMAO!!!

  • I never understood how Donny was supposed to be a genius. His entire speech in this scene is common sense. Any idiot who puts more than 2 seconds of thought into human emotion could easily argue that the exercise is BS.

  • I never understood how Donny was supposed to be a genius. His entire speech in this scene is common sense. Any idiot who puts more than 2 seconds of thought into human emotion could easily argue that the exercise is BS.

  • Darko the Super Hero Foreveeeeeer! :D (I hate teachers like that :/)

  • I am so going to say something like that to one of my teachers.

  • @MegaNaenae13

    film it please

  • @Destitulemaire K I'll try to.

  • SPOILER ALERT

If Donnie never burnt down the pervert's house, then Mrs. Farmer would have never stayed to stand up for him, his mom wouldn't have had to chaperone his sister's dance thing, and Donnie and Elizabeth could have never thrown that party. If they never threw the party, Frank would have never been driving drunk (he was at that party, "Frank was here, went to get more beer" or something like that,) so he never would have ran over Gretchen, and Donnie wouldn't have shot Frank. Damn

  • @sterlingboss1920 I like how your mind works on this! And prior to all of that, if the school hadn't adopted Jim Cunningham's fear-love lifeline curriculum, Donnie wouldn't have gotten in trouble, sent to the principal's office and suspended from extracurricular activities. <==THAT prevented him from being able to go to the talent show, therefore/instead he took Gretchen to see The Evil Dead, got instruction from Frank & burned down Cunningham's house (while Cunningham was at the talent show).

  • @0hNoNotHimAgain So true! So basically this is the turning point of the movie. Although, if he never got suspended and set off the pipes at the school, he wouldn't have been able to basically save Gretchen from Seth Rogen and his friend. She could have been raped for all we knew. This movie goes on and on with possible parallel universes.

  • @0hNoNotHimAgain aha! what if i never pushed play? Where is your god now?

  • @sterlingboss1920 My only question is who exactly frank is? Because at one point in the movie it seems like frank is a hallucination that donnie keeps seeing but then when frank gets shot with his mask off it seems like hes a real person, especially if he was driving the car and the cause of her death. Was he a freind from the past or somthing?

  • @Phenomanonn Frank is Donnie's sister's boyfriend. He has traveled back in time through the portal to talk to Donnie in a time pocket from the point after Donnie shot him when he was on that beer run near Grandma Death's house.

  • @rslynch2 oooooooooooooohhh ok thanks so much. That helps a TON. I get it now. Just one last thing though. At what point in the movie do you find out that frank was his sister's boyfriend? Cause since i never knew who he was i never caught that.

  • A little Repo Man snuck in at the start. Sweet :)

  • do as your told bitch. you were horrible in Speed.

  • I swear to God that bitch had it coming lol

    Donnie is awesome;D

  • THIS MADE MY DAY!!!!

  • I was just waiting for a

    FALCON PUNCH!!

  • he's right

  • best bit of the film!

  • I know he really said " shove it up your ass" but it would have been HILARIOUS and I would b DYING of laughter if he actually said "forcibly insert into your anus"

  • No bitch it's not fear and love

  • That's what I've felt like telling all these love-fear indoctrinated simplistic morons all these years but I haven't been able to find the words for.

  • FORCIBLY INSERT IT INTO MY ANUS

  • This scene was probably inspiration for the first troll

  • whats with the intro lol

  • trolldad.. lol

  • Haha one of my fav parts

I know the movie isn't real but that teacher pisses me off

  • We only get a choice to like or dislike this video? But Youtube isn't that simple. There are other things to consider here... like the whole spectrum of levels of enjoyment of a video. You can forcibly insert your rating system into your anus.

  • @mankytoes The Cunning YouTube curriculum clearly indicates that the video-lifeline is divided that way--between Like & Dislike. Like and Dislike are the deepest of YouTuber emotions. If you don't thumb up or down, you'll get a zero for the day, lol.

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo well youtube can forcibly shove their videos up their anus

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo Lol, nice

  • @mankytoes bahahahahahha

  • @mankytoes best. response. ever.

  • @mankytoes Well, that's why they put the comments & the new reactions bar. ;)

  • @mankytoes basically stfu.

  • @mankytoes I agree. They should bring back the fucking star rating system :)

  • @mankytoes Indeed.

  • @mankytoes i think thats what comments are for

  • @mankytoes that has got to be one of the best video related comments i ever read!!!

  • @MrCzecher Aww, thanks. I'm glad no one knows quite how happy I am with getting that many likes.

  • @mankytoes MIss the stars right?

  • I love his dad.... i swear i quote this movie every day

  • I love this movie...who the fuck would dislike this

  • that is amazing!!! love this movie. best dad ever

  • No, I am being serious, but this is the best part of any movie, since YOU CAN'T DIVIDE EVERYTHING INTO A CATEGORY!

  • If anyone does not know the critical part of this, its that if she didn't aggravate donnie to say that, he would not be suspended from all after school activities therefore go to talent show and not burn down the pervs house, so gretchen and frank would live as no party would ever happen.

  • @HMsstudios909 Excellent point! All of the Manipulated Living (even the ones we find disagreeable such as Kitty Farmer & Jim Cunningham) play an unconscious role in influencing Donnie to use his 4th Dimensional Powers to guide that jet engine/artifact into position for its journey back to the Primary Universe, so that the Tangent Universe (apparently a repeating time-loop) can finally be eliminated once & for all before it has a chance to collapse upon itself & create a destructive black hole.

  • now we know where he gets it from

  • Best scene in the movie imo.

  • She's supposedly a pretty awesome person in real life.

  • HAHAHA

  • The dad probably thought "That's my boy" at the end when he snickered.

  • I love how he just sits there smiling when she tells them what he said :)

  • Actually.. i understand what the teacher is saying.. and it makes a lot of sense.

The case in my point is out of fear. The child takes the money because he fears the fact that he won't have money. You can't say he does it because of love for money, because that's not the underlying reason. No one likes money as a material thing. We don't frame every dollar bill that comes to us.

  • Press 8 for the best part :L

  • Love this movie but I'm kinda creeped out by frank .....

  • What I love about this scene is not only Mrs Farmers "transcription" of what Donny said, which is hilarious, but the reactions to it as well.

Farmers upset reaction, mums embarrassed reaction, Donnies smile, Dads hilarious smirk and the principals confused expression.

Funny indeed! And a great line too!

  • Lmao... Although this just proves that the whole movie was in fact a dream with the teacher appearing out of nowhere

  • That Teacher is a Bitch....Didn't Chucky Kill her Back in the 90's

  • False fucking dichotomy lol

  • @squibble2 or is it?

  • I think everyone wishes they'd stood up to a stupid teacher like this at some point in school.

  • I am like doni darko.

  • Fucking teachers, most of them just like to get paid not teaching.

  • I'll tell you exactly what said! He told me to forcibly insert the life force card inside my anus!

  • seth rogan? :36

  • @KneeGrow95 yup lol

  • @KneeGrow95 yeah thats him

  • It's a very funny episode, very funny indeed! :-))) LOL

  • Today my religon teacher sounded exactly like this woman, they way she only divides life into two catagories fear and love and she actually used these examples. I felt like telling her to shove a book up her ass too, but all I could do was try and stop myself from dying of laughter at her idiotic similarities to this teacher and her pathetic outlook on life.

  • i love donnie and his dad.

  • 0:31 did anyone notice the blue book?

  • @MaxAttax01 what about it?

  • ive never seen this movie before, so is the black dude talking at the beginning part of the movie or is that just....there?

  • @Heather146 it's just there, not sure why

  • i would've kept the money =P

  • Are teachers in American public schools really allowed to insert bullshit like that into the syllabus and grade people against their acceptance of it? That would explain a lot, but I hope the scenario is entirely fictitious.

  • @Dave83C it is slightly exagerated but not by much

  • @philosophermike :-P That does explain a lot.

  • @Dave83C I think that it was supposed to be an after school program for kids with "emotional problems" or whatever, since he get's banned from after school activities after telling the teacher off.

  • @Isosyth but now he grwon up and became a cowboy and he is homosexual. The fault is of this teacher

  • hahaha. I love the abrupt shift from 1:08 to 1:09.

  • 3 people named "Juanita" cheated on an important maths test and then placed their fingers on the dislike button...

    "Go Back to China Bitch!"

  • Oh seth rogen. how u hide in old movies i watched in my childhood.

  • 2 people placed a an "X" on the lifeline in the appropriate place.

  • Another example of another dumbass trying to "simply" life by narrowing things down to 2 emotions...Donnie owned her, she had it coming.

  • Ling Ling really looks like she's Asian lol

  • @cpcpcpcp123 HAHAHAHA, I didn't even look at the illustration. That's hilarious.

  • lol i love how the dadstartted to laough

  • Stupid teacher. isn't devided by two emoaton. It just me richord kelly is a hell of a director and writter. He tackle real topic that people denie and know it true. but dosent with a wonderful sense of hummer along with it.

  • donnie has a good point

what stupid teacher thinks life is divided in only 2 emotions that aren't that strong???

  • damn, hes my hero

  • Dad was the most rocking part of the movie

his mother says inserting anything into teacher's anus should not go unnoticed

and dad says maybe we should buy him a moped

mom says maybe we should get divorced

    lolmax

  • i love how the dad laughs at all the inappropriate moments

  • did he reli say that or did he just say shove it up ur assssss

  • @MrCasimopo89 naw he pobably said up ur ass, she's just too much of a pussy to say that

  • Comment removed

  • This movie! IDEK the words to describe it. It's just a great movie.

  • @ZimZamZimero Are you saying they had a serious affair? Like she was in love with him. And that's why she stuck with him?

  • everything Donnie said made sense it's almost disturbing i share all his beliefs and so do so much other people and this movie makes you realize it

  • @bromar16 donnie's the updating of the underground man. read "notes from underground" and you're likely to feel the same way.

  • Best dad ever.

  • I love this movie.

  • 2 people got the lifeline exercise card forcibly inserted into their anuses

  • Comment removed

  • Donnie used Reason. It was super effective!

  • @masterheadcom Lol! Gotta love Pokemon references. XD

  • his dad is the best

  • I challenge my teachers like this all the time.. I'm always right.

Fucking school, it's so weak. I learn everything on my own time, school is just me being a tool for the system..
