I had a 2005 Mazda 3, then I had a 2007 mazda3, now I have a 2009 Mazda 3 hatchback. Yes, it's as good as it looks.

Comfortable, brilliantly equipped, classy lines, and it go's like spit off a griddle!

I love it, I have it in pearl white with the sunroof/boes package. I just think te mpg kinda sucks for a 4 banger, not neary as well as my wifes mini cooper.

this car has a serious flaw as the first mazda to have factory standard bluetooth...sooo many problems. has anyone else had problems with geting bluetooth to work???

the bluetooth wouldnt stay connected but we worked it out. just had to ensure there was a song on the nokias MP3 player for the car to recognise otherwise the connection gets rejected all together. bluetooth handfree and MP3 between car and mobile stays connected everytime now.

Personally I think the hatchback pulls off Mazda's new smile better than the sedan. I know Americans in gerneral don't like hatches. Don't get it. Its a winner to me.

PS. The dual tail pipes even if unnecissary, are a great touch. Go Mazda.

Well, I have an 09 Corolla S right now and I am not looking for better MPG, it's the fun factor that I miss from another vehicle. Therefore, I am working on getting an 08 Speed3 GT w Navi. I got my sales person worked out:)

The front end looks like a big, fugly happy face. If it had a different front end, I would consider buying this car. Sorry Mazda, but I'm still thinking VW as my next purchase.

New Mk6 Golf and Rabbit will be a very nice car indeed. Very refined, and apparently very quiet as well. I own an 04 MAzda3 hatch and I think it looks better than the '10 ones. IMO.

yeah, i have an 04 Mazda6, i am very disappointed in the look of the new 6 as well. they completely messed that up. the whole point of the mazda 6 was that it was built with european philosophy, just the right amount of power (220), a strong chassis, independent suspension, and it should handle very well. the new one is simply too powerful to be fwd, it has like 280 bhp, and it looks disgusting. i am very disappointed in mazda.

Fokkerdude - I totally agree, the front end of this new Mazda is ugly. I have a 2007 Mazda 3, and I like the design of my car much more than this. If I were on the market for a new car today, I probably would just pass this new redesigned Mazda 3 up, and go for something else. It looks like a deranged oversized catfish, with its lower jaw jutting out, the car has trout pout!!!
