bv 206 häglunds comes from sweden and has a 6 cyl mercedes turbo diesel engine and i have rided one of those and its pretty laud inside

Forward was no option until we in the end cut down a couple of spruce trees and made a ramp up the opposit side. It was too steep to climb, about 1,5 - 1,7 meters and there was frozen swamp and marsh on top of the water... When we first rammed the opposit side the water rised to half the windshield!

Do the rear tracks operate independent of the front. Are they powered?

It's like a four wheel drive but with four tracks. There are no central differential lock on this model unfortunately. Therefore it's possible that one front track and one rear track spinns loose.

About 150hp, very light, just around 2000kg. Price for this vehicle on civil market depends on configuration, it comes in a large variety of models.

Nope, not new driver but bad driver. That's what got us in the creek to begin with... The opposit side was to steep to climb, that´s why we tried to back up. One or two big spruce trees made a nice "ladder" up on the opposit side! "Fun as hell" is allmost an understatement.
