WOW its unbelievable how many IGNORANT comments there are! The problem here is the TITLE of the video, its singling Peru out. It should be more general because these problems occur in most non western countries (with regards to tourists). People are entitled to their opinion but insulting a whole nation and its people is simply vulgar and unsophisticated.

In my opinion Peru is growing, it has a lot to offer and is agriculturally rich and I'm proud to have been born there. Viva el Peru!

I'm peruvian cop, for the general any tourist likes go to dangerous places, will be best question about that place or have a peruvian guide. Is not expensive. I think the risk in everywhere in the world, but here some thieves use the lies for obtain your money. With a peruvian guide all this is more dificult for thieves. Peruvian guides know the price right of the things and know peruvian tricks.

we always do that here in lima at least downtown, I always have my backup at the front :P but no one has ever stolen anything from me in downtown lima. You got to be carfull and have some attitute. always look at your back and look at everybody right to the eyes

Peru is less dangerous than other countries in South America. I think in other countries there are delinquency and violency but not exactly in all Peru.

For tourist is enough that you have to watch your things, it's normal.

Lima or Cusco are not like Ginebra, Zurich or Helsinki, but is more secure than other cities.

Excelentes consejos... pero el titulo esta pesimo, da la idea que solo para ir a un pais de ladrones (Peru como lo dice el titulo), uno se tiene que cuidar.

En estados unidos hay mas crimen que en Peru y no ves clips como estos para un viaje para alla.

Esta claro que es para los extranjeros que si son muy poco precavidos, pero este buen consejo es para viajar a cualquier pais, no solo a Peru.

Soy estadounidense y si veo muchas advertencias de como evitar crimen en las ciudades grandes, como Chicago, Nueva York, Miami.

Hay más crimen porque hay muuuucho más gente. Pero si ves las estadisticas sobre el homicido por cada 100.000 personas, somos casi iguales con 5.7 homicidos (EEUU) y 5.54 homicidos (Perú).

Y no me ha disuadado de irme.
