Some keys on my keyboard are not working!!!!!!!!!!! for example the letter "p" which i have to copy and paste to use is not responding. 8o% of my keys are working, how can i fix this!! or will it persist untill i need to buy a new one! any REAL help would be great!
BTW you might as well do one about text editing shortcuts, such as select whole line, whole paragraph, entire document from the line you are in, go to end of line, beginning, top bottom, etc. those are very helpful especially to notebook users.
There are so many terrible tutorial videos all around the web which make you watch the person mumbling for ages, while yours is focused, quick and educative. Great Job! Even though I knew all of these, I enjoyed it very much! In Windows however , what I really liked that you don't really need the mouse. like pressing alt went to the menu bar and I could access all of it, or I guess windows B went to the notification area. Don't you know stuff like these for OS X?
awesome. you are a mac shortcut pro. i'm a windows person and i also can't stand how there's no maximize shortcut and how applications do not actually quit until you fully quit them. that, combined with the price, obsolescence of these things, and the inability to completely disable those stupid effects when you minimize windows keep me with windows 7. i wish people would put up videos this comprehensive for windows 7 shortcuts.
@metal571 I use both Mac OS X and Windows 7 and I can tell you that Macs are NOT becoming obsolete. In my personal opinion, the reasons people still use Windows PCs are because of price, MUCH, MUCH bigger library of games, and finally, because they grew up with Windows. People don't like change, especially if it is expensive. As far as the minimize animation goes, you can change it in your System Preferences, I'm not sure if you can disable it though.
@krrsplat yeah, i meant obsolescence in terms of the hardware inside. upgrades just don't exist for macs in general, regardless of if they're a desktop or laptop. it's at the least a huge pain in the ass to even attempt to open an imac or macbook. yeah you can change that animation to "scale" instead of the ridiculously overdone default one when minimizing, but you can't disable it to my knowledge either. it's not that macs are going out of style ANY time soon, but upgrades? nonexistent.
Quick question: Your shortcuts display on the screen as you execute them. How do you do that? Is that just a feature of the screen capturing program you are using?
@transik5 As far as i know there is not a keyboard shortcut to go to the home page in Firefox. When you open firefox, select the history menu and you will see an option labeled "Home", there is no shortcut listed next to the menu item, implying that there is now shortcut .
Have a bunch of apps open, some porn pics, and other stuff. Some one suddenly walks in the room and you just want to hide all programs at once. We all know ( command H) will hide an app. So what you do is click the desktop and hit (Command Option H) and all will hide at once and your desktop is clear. TO bring back go on top left menu bar and select "show all". I love this feature for when my wife walks in the room.
Great video! Very informative. Most informative keyboard shortcuts video I have come across.....writing them down now! Lol...... Thank you!!! I've learned alot.

So THATS how i switch between instances of the same app!
I still think windows shortcuts are better tho.
And safaris tabswitch requieres 2 hands...kinda ruins the purpouse of a keyboard shortcut IMO
