  • 402 is a big block it was a 396 bored out

  • a 302 is actually a 4.9 a 306 would be closer to a 5.0 then the 302 would be

  • hahahahahaha i love how it says its a 5.0 306. a 5.0 is a 302

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 a 306 is a 5.0... a 302 is really a 4.9, but ford marketed it as a 5.0.

  • The camaro have not been better the the stang stock vs stock sorry.

  • the fords have smaller engines but put out very respectable power. Obviously that 5.0 was not a stock engine .

anyway both cars were really fast. Good competition here. liked the race.

  • 302 vs. 402 really? a 408 ford would tear that camaro up

  • Big block camaro and only 11.8 haa haa ha.

  • To all you crying babies out there about the stang and the camaro, chevy has been better till now the new mustangs crush the camaros and everyone who keeps saying the zl1 will crush the 5.0's the zl1 is supercharged the gt500 and 350 will own the zl1 and any other camaro you can throw at them

  • 402 is not a big block

  • @VICTOR400HP A 402 IS A BORED OUT 396 WETARD !!

  • 2012 Camaro, zl1 550 Horse, Need I Say More? GM Power over Ford Power anyday, and everyday

  • haha fords lame

  • ugly ass camaro.

  • just cause u drop the tire pressure doesn' t mean ur gonna beat the camaro. haha

  • pretty crappy looking mustang - the new camaros make those things look like they came off a chinese assembly line

  • @evilunixuser1 i dont like you

  • @evilunixuser1 ...while the 5.0's newest reincarnation is kicking the new Camaro's ass all over the place.

  • @pwkid chevy needs to give up on the camaro. the mustangs shit all over them now. they arent even competition anymore

  • @Cazilboy13

When you think about it.. It's been rather even lately. I love Mustangs, Its all im into, but hey, the Camaro(LS1) was a glimmer of hope for Chevy! They just can't get it together now-a-days like Ford can.. hell, V6 Mustangs beat LS1's now. the new 5.0's walk on new maros lol

  • @RyanShelton63366 thats what i mean. they USED to be competition, but now, theyre not. its that simple lol

  • @Cazilboy13 Haha how long did it take ford to get there shit together and finally make a mustang worth buying and that could finally beat a camaro a camaro has always been faster than a pusstang so ford is the one who hasnt had thier shit together mustangs were a f*cking joke before 2011 Chevy has always been on top when it comes to performance give them a few years and the camaro will put the pusstang right back in its place.

  • @pauda72 a stock camaro in the 80s/early 90s had the 305 with a stock hp of 175...the lighter fox body mustang had a power plant that ranged from 215-225hp stock. Get your facts right. Also, you know why they stopped making camaros from 2002 until now? because camaros suck thats why. they have always made mustangs from 1964 until now.

  • @GuitarFreak881 funny how gm stopped making them for 8 years yet the Camaro ss can still hang with the 5.0 just saying :P

  • @GuitarFreak881 There were a few years of mustangs that I really wouldn't give Ford credit for building mustangs. Remember some of the late 70's and 80's mustangs? yuck. Not even mustangs as far as I'm concerned, just an economy car with mustang badges. Just remember that the next time you want to say the camaro sucks. Because I honestly think some of those cars Ford built didn't deserve to be called mustangs.

  • @177SCmaro To be fair, no american cars in the mid-late 70's early 80's are worth a shit.

  • @GuitarFreak88 Hey now. You hurt my 78 camro's feelings.

I'm just saying, as far as I'm concerned Ford quit making the mustang somewhere in the mid to late 70's and didn't start making a real mustang until again around the mid 80's. So I wouldn't flip too much shit on the camaro for not being built at all for a few years. I mean, would you rather a car disappear all together with a modicum of dignity or stumble along as a cruel parody of itself?

    Just my opinion.

  • @177SCmaro Im just saying. I have a 1975 Camaro in my garage that I pulled out of a ditch and is my project car. I dropped in a crate 305 (EWWW... but I got it for free so I can't complain.) and a th-350 trans. It's going to need some engine work if it wants to come close to my mustang 5.0. I'm not knocking chevy off completely...but every chevy I have had (or my dad has had) have been terrible. hopefully the camaro will be different...my mustang has 350,000 miles on the stock motor btw.

  • @GuitarFreak881 lol my stock 305 in my 78 had 300,000 and a season of drag racing on it (it was painfully slow) before I retired it in favor of a 350 out of a 90's 3/4 ton pickup. Which now is at the machine shop getting a 383 treatment in preparation for the 177 supercharger that's been siting in my garage for too long.

The 5.0 was exactly what I was taking about. That was the first real mustang Ford had made in years and those little cars are so easy to make fast. They don't weigh anything.

  • @177SCmaro Fox body's were made 79-93, so why cut out a few of those beginning years? :P haha

  • @blindskater200 um...because they kinda sucked?

  • @177SCmaro Why say this? 79-85 were all the same, carbureted 5.0's. So what it seems you're saying is that when they went to fuel injection they were a real Mustang? 60's model Mustang's were carbureted and they're real are they not?

  • @blindskater200 To clarify, I said, in my opinion, Ford quit making "real" mustangs somewhere in the mid to late 70's and didn't start making "real" mustangs again until around the mid 80's (or whenever the 5.0 came out and finally started making some decent HP). As I said, that's my opinion. If you're asking me how I arrived at such an opinion compare a 1969 mach 1, looks, engine, performance, horsepower, etc, to almost any 70's (excluding 71) or 80's mustang and I think you'll see what I mean.

  • @177SCmaro My first car was a '69 Mach 1. So I'd have to agree with you. I hate 71 through 78 Mustang's completely, I despise how they look.

  • @blindskater200 I know. Just about everything went to hell in those years, it defiantly wasn't just the mustang, look at how bad things got for the camaro. My 78 with the factory 305 was rated at like 150HP!!! You can thank Uncle Sam for that. Only now, like 40 years later, are we getting back (and in many cases exceeding) the kinds of power those old muscle cars had. Thank God for the 400+HP Fords, Chevys and Dodges we have now. I hope it lasts.

  • @177SCmaro I hope it lasts too, man. I really do.

  • Comment removed

  • @HOLYSTANG91

Can you compare? It's a BIG BLOCK 402 that probably has more torque than you could ever pull from a 302 block, which im assuming is what that 306 is..

  • Nice race!

  • good race, camera should be on tripod?

  • lay off the crack camera man!

  • Both are nice cars. More vids please!
