  • Good video I have an issue with my XTS-3000 vhf in P25 while listening to our police in P25 conventional dispatch is really quiet then a officer talks an its really loud same with Amateur radio in analog while in scan or channel its louder than the P25 channels is there a setting in CPS to balance the volume I think theres a setting for minimum volume mines at 100 might try an reset radio to factory settings but dont want to lose my codeplug packge H35 any ideas appreciated

  • @Aaroneus76 there is an Automatic gain control on the XTS3000, but I have the same issue with dispatch here on analog, its just the way its set up.

  • Simple answer to this is scan the voice channels on your xts3000 for each individual tower....

  • @cowman30SJA

All you do it write the cps profile you have for that particular radio back into it. This can't be done with xts5000 it requires flashing by Motorola...

  • What happens if you screw up your programming and they block you radio. Can it be saved or is it blocked forever?

  • Curious how all these guys on ebay with xts3000 are programming them for GRN Trunking recieve and it follows the towers and changes towers and everything.... just won't tx, i had grn analog in mine was great till they went digital had it for over 12months, changed towers anywhere i went in Sydney....

  • @TimonSuricata My 3000 did the same with P16, never seen it done with P25.

  • @lukefwjross seen some xts3000's on ebay claiming to receive the new digital grn..

also weird reading my old grn analog xts3000 can't change any of the trunking settings but someone got them in there, im guessing they must of made a system key and done it that way.

  • @TimonSuricata I have seen them too, I'd love to test the claims.

There are a few system keys around.

  • 851.02500 is the lowes you can go on rx .

  • where do you get your info, where i live we have a 800MHz p25 motorola type 2 system, and i would like to monitor it, could i do it with a p25 saber, the thing is money, if i had a lot i would go but a xts5k. lol, so any ideas, could it be done with a xts2500? thank you

  • @aarpaz I have a XTS3000 I tried to program, and about the 800Mhz one, Batlabs, there is a P25 XTS3000 version floating around, finding one is the problem as they are still used.

My understanding is the Sabers never got the P25 firmware like some of the the XTS3000's did.

  • @lukefwjross so i could not do it with this one?

190579538146 <------- ebay auction number, search it in ebay

  • @aarpaz doubtful, the only "Saber" with the real P25 DSP is the Motorola SSE5000. The Saber is older then the XTS3000, the XTS3000 is really just a Saber in a new case.

  • @aarpaz Yes it can be done with a XTS2500 as they are ASTRO25 Radios. And I have done it on an XTS2500.

  • @lukefwjross thank you, how about on a p25 motorola saber
