humm born for the keys huh, cant wait to see how she sounds when she's in her 20's hopefully she enjoys it and isint forced into this! silly to say I know, that aside one word for you lil missy "Wow" and keep up the hard work! greetings from canada ^^
i am so effin jealoous..... (escuse the language) i thought i played so well for my age too, its jus because i havent met my match. and i gave up on piano 2 yrs ago for personal reasons
wow. like wtf. why is that when when an asian person plays well on the piano everyone is like "asians are smart/nerdy/" or "nice asian job". when white people play they don't say "nice white job". try going to japan and being excluded for being a foreigner there. stop thinking you're so above asians.
Extraordinary technique for 11 years old child, but all the rest such as musicality, expression and maturity are certainly ordinary fir for her age (she is just a kid!). So lets not place a remarks such as "asian job"! It's not nice! So if a kid has technical abilities he automaticly obliged to be a great musician at all respects?! It will come to her later. Besides, she's very gifted: plays violin and composes. Can you say more about yourself?
No, I won't say more about myself. I like to be "incognito" here. I can say, that I'm a musician.
Yes, 11 year old perfectly technically-trained girl, won't be mature musician at her age, but i think she should focus her work on musicallity. And try to play not so technically-absorbing pieces, because it's like "oh, she can make it so fast" - like in circus. Music is not circus.
Or we will have another pianist with "plastic soul" like Yundi Li.
Yes, I agree with you - "she should focus her work on musicality" but as I said she's still so young and unmatured. Besides, isn't it natural for a human being trying to show the best of his abilities? And maybe the problem is in her teacher.
What angered me is this lable "asian job"! I don't like lables! Have you heard Aimi Kobayashi playing? She is the most sensitive and musical and mature 12 years old ASIAN pianist I've ever heard! Try Mozart's concerto(10 y.o.) and Chopin's Impromptu .
Great performance of this Scherzo. I played this Scherzo in the Majestic theatre last weekend. Its such a fun piece to play. My only suggestion is to loosen up a little. It sounds a little rigid. Other wise, great performance.
To me, what's most impressive is the intellectual and musical insight you have into this difficult piece that so often is played without sufficient differentiation. You bring out the voices and you structure the passages so it all makes sense and has a clear logic. Few can do that. You engage in no histrionics - just honest musicmaking. This reminds me of Hilary Hahn's approach to music: honest, intelligent, crystal clear, letting the expression emerge from the music itself.
well, you must be playing since you were NOT born yet!I'm kidding!Way to go...I hope once I'll see you performing one of my pieces!("yeah you wish!"):P:P....anyway...Keep on,you rock...'thumbs up'

This is insane. I've tried playing the song and it's freaking hard. How the hell..? And to think of even memorizing it. She's just incredible!

Immmmmpressive, however, I wonder if she has a life. To play as well as she does on both instruments requires a looooot of hours of practice.

If you wants to be a musician, music has to be a very big part of your life and it could the best part of it too.
KidMusician 3 years ago
@melo1223 This is her life! You mean does she have time to be a child right?

You don't have kids and don't know anything about kids if you think this is normal expressiveness for an 11 year old.
