I am deaf student male in Health Science this fall semester. I don't know them. I never meet them. They seem very cool. That's very interesting in their story. Awsome!!
wow, this is so awesome! Issa you never fail to impress me, what an insightful exihibition of how things can be in the day in the life of a hearing impaired person
this has to be the best part of the class i would say. is when he brings guest speakers. we learn so much from this and we learn to appreciate more of the things we have around us.
I love the way that Dr. Ali makes the students the teacher. Like in this video with the pannel of hearing impaired sudents and in our class with the pannel of students of who had been to prison. I think that first hand discussion and encounters are the best way to learn. RIGHT ON DR. ALI!
the idea of taking in host speakers that we usually overlook in our lives is wonderful because we become more aware of their situation and avoid treating them any different.
I love how Dr. Ali treats everyone as an individual. He's not afraid to ask tough questions no matter what their race, gender, creed, disabled... it doesn't matter everyone is one race the human race.
thats funny cuz i took sign language last year in highschool and i could actually understand a lot of what she was signing. i think we all should learn sign language because we all have the chance of going deaf and sign is an easy way to communicate.
i dont know anyone who isnt a fan of dr alis class.. it was really nice interesting hearing the first two girls stories... that should help people learn to be more grateful of what they have
I have slowly started to learn that Dr. Ali is the type of professor that takes any opportunity that he can to make it a learning experience. He does not limit himself to one single subject and teach about it and only it, he broadens his knowledge and others knowledge by welcoming the opportunities there are to learn something new.
That first part was touching. I've always been very interested in ASL. I even took the class. I think its cool that you let them express themselves in your class. Most people dont even bother to interact with them. That is really cool and nice of you to do that.
I really liked watching the video with the deaf signing. Before I started College, I took a night class at Fontana High School( also the High School I graduated from) so I was comfortable there. I took a sign language class. So watching this video was nice. It was nice to be able to see real deaf people signing and to hear the interpreter say what those deaf people were saying.
wow i never took a class wit someone who couldnt hear so if u get some in ur class this year that is deaf that would be great cause i could learn from them on how to do sign lauguage..so thats great
Not only is Dr. Ali's class fun, but he also has serious moments as well. This clip gives you a chance to get familiar with a deaf person. They're people too!
I liked that he includes sections in his class for the deaf students. It truely brings out Dr. Ali's character and respect to inquire and gather information.
thats so cool to watch. I wanted to get into a sign language class but someone told the best way to learn is going to our local sign language congregation because they teach you for free
It is great that everyone is capable of participating in the class. No one left out
