I am white and I love the djembe. Is that a problem? I have been looking on youtube to check out new rhythms and all I see are comments about how the drummers are not black... Now, the djembe is an african instrument. so you are saying that people that have african decendency automatically have the ability to play it? Or are you saying that when it comes to drums, white people are inferior and dont have the ability to learn it..?

@conejwsr No it's not a problem that you love djembe, I'm glad to see you embracing different cultures. Yes djembe is a traditional African instrument but that doesn't mean that non-blacks can't play or won't be any better than black players. So play on.
