@heathinv forge welding those metals together has been done i japan for a very long time. so i say kudos to you if you figured it out on your own, and if you can do that i say watch more forging vids on youtube. there are many forging vids that are very helpful.

I studied under Hofi as well, he's an inspirational person and one HELL of a great smith He too, like most artists, especially in the art of blacksmithing, has no borders, no pre-concept of who you are cause of where your from or what your name is. If I had the chance I'ld love to work with Mordebar... and nobody likes to be poor ballygeale1. You obviously don't know what passion for a trade / art really is. Thats sad...

I just got back form a 2 week class in Israel with Uri Hofi. That is who this man has learned from. Uri is one the worlds best blacksmiths, bar none.
