  • Very cute. And everybody thinks rats are dirty

  • awwww :3 ....wait isnt it bad if the soap gets in the eye D:

  • @PURPLEBEAST404 or in their stomach yeah I thought s myself I only let them swim and wash them in water without soap

  • OMG. So cute ;___; Want one myself <3

  • Where did you get your rat? I am trying to find a breeder but having no luck. I want to go a visit them and hold one because I have never held one before. Anyway, I don't want one from a petstore. They don't socialize them very well.

  • @Hummingbirds2009 Where do you live?

  • I just love your rat. Adorable!!!!

  • I don't see why so many people think they are gross! They are so cute!

  • That thing come by my house, I kill it!

  • @matascibirka Then why watch a video if you obviously hate it? Go back to your bridge, Troll. Rats are amazing. It's a shame you can't see that.

  • Urrgh! i would punch it

  • How did you take the soap off after the bath?

  • who wouldn't like this video!!!!!

  • Ahahhahaha the cuteness! Hope it's gentle soap.

  • Love her!!!

  • I love rats, they are so intelligent and cute.

  • rats are lucky because they can stand up in water but mice caint unless the water is very low

  • TOO cute. I've got a small enclosed plastic hamster tank with a ramp and shelf in it that I put plain water in the lower part with frozen peas floating around. I pop them in on the shelf, and they'll tale themselves down the ramp to have a paddle and chase the peas. it's really cute

this is just so sublime that you can hardly here me for squealing in adoration.

  • What type of soap did you use? Because its really bad to use soap on rats it cleans away the natural oils that they have. but still a cute video

  • @Sabybiker It's okay to bathe them with soap and water, but not too often. About once every 2 weeks is as frequent as I would wash them. Any more then that, and yeah, their buck grease will not be plentiful enough and their skin will dry out.

  • @Zombieslayer5P oh okay. good to know thanks.

  • isnt it gonna get sick from the soap ? but awww<3

  • Rat's are such good pets and it makes me sad that not enough people know it =(

  • Sooo cute! <33

  • Wow, I did not know rats would any sense of hygiene if given the chance.

Im surprised at myself for assuming such a stereotype.

Im glad I know different now.

  • @Sinsearach Rats actually clean themselves a LOT outside of baths like these. My rats will clean themselves several times within, say, 30 minutes...

  • Adorable!! Reminds me of my Crosby! Love this!

  • Hey everyone can you plz check out my video its call rat in a box infomercial plz comment it our first video that all we ever want is to have comments we will reply also!!

  • My parents always said rats were filthy and disgusting and no one should keep them as pets. Now, I have video proof that they are wrong, at least about domesticated rats. :)d

  • CUUUUUUUUUTE!

  • ENDLOS LIEB !!!! endless lovely !!!!! 1000 HUGS !!!!! Greatings, Jörg

  • adorbs!

  • That's precious! I had six little girl rats at one point and when it came to bath time four used to cry and moan at me and not be happy until it was time to snuggle in a big towel to dry off (they loved that bit) and two used to like swimming around the bathtub, so much so that I'd have to sit and wait for them to finish their swimming and jump out onto my hand! xD

  • So cute, bless her soul!

  • aww that is so cute!

  • Awh she is adorable :)

  • Cute vid.. I have to admit, what idiot disables ratings... give me a friggin break..

  • @print4apet Probably somebody who is used to rats being very discriminated against.

  • @mschiefmaker looks like they turned them back on ;0)

  • Hope you rinsed her off with clear water? Don't imagine soap is good for them to lick. She is a cutie!

  • How precious! Rats are the best.

  • @mmissinglink Ron Weasly!?!?!?

  • @367candycane Me? No, I'm Louie Gedo. I myself have rescued and cared for rats and mice (as well as other animals) and I can definitely attest that they are as smart, loving, and curious as any cat or dog. Even more remarkable about the mice I rescued off of glue traps is that their will to live is incredible.

  • @mmissinglink BTW, if you ever come across a mouse on a glue trap, vegetable or nut oil (ie, olive, sesame, safflower, corn, peanut, soybean, etc, etc) is the thing that helps release them from the death-gripping glue. Do not use anything else as other substances may cause severe irritation. But please try to save the mouse if you do find one still alive stuck on a glue trap.

  • @mmissinglink I will try to post a video as soon as I record and edit it showing the best technique for releasing mice off glue traps. Stay tuned.

  • @mmissinglink I dissagree hamsterz r D BesTT!!!

  • I love ratties!!! So darn cute. :P)

  • LOVE this! :)

  • I'm sure if they were watching my 3 girls would comment with "Tinkerbell you're nuts!" but the lady who rescued the 4 boys I have now tells me they enjoy some warm water & soap now & then. That's one seriously cute rattie you have there.

  • Wish my dog would do that. She got sprayed by a skunk and I had to spend three hours scrubbing her...

  • Awwwww! So cute! Really made my night!

  • What a clean and happy girl. She's adorable. My boys really dislike baths and it makes me sad. :(

  • This is so adorable!

  • So cute :)

  • Very cute. I used to have pet rats. They are very smart and clean.

  • i do not like rats or mice but this is downright cute

  • What a sweetie! My rats never EVER stood for being wet XD

  • @Nightwatch177 Same here. Mine HATE getting baths. I have to give them treats before and after so they don't hate me, lol

  • I WANT ONEEE. ;_;

  • omg that is so cute.

We should be a lot more respectful towards them

  • my rat love to swim like a dog

  • She is very cute :) But I'm wondering how much of that soap she got in her mouth (and how safe it is) when she was washing herself.

  • @Mickihere yes, i was wondering the same thing. hopefully the soap is atleast a natural baby soap.

  • Could you pease post more videos of your adorable rat? Thanks!!! : )

  • One of the cutest things I've ever seen!

  • y u use a shampoo? that is dangerous

  • Last time I tried to give rats a bath, my best friend and I each had a rat, and then my niece followed us in their, being ahuge pain(she's 10, the bathroom was already croweded... :P) and my rats jumped strait ot the bathtub, scratched us, and my favorite rat peed on me.

I felt so bad for it... but then we had to rinse them off!

  • SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO STINKEN CUTE

  • haha okay I just translate it through the computer, so it's dierenschampo?

  • Do they bite>

  • @BunnysiEat Sometimes, if you touch them with food they will try to eat what smells good on your fingers. But I never had a rat bite me angry or anything. When they get angry they just squeak and through tantrums. You dont really have to worry about them biting you. Rats are very lovable and lot!

  • @zimmermanzs Evil.

  • Comment removed

  • @zimmermanzs I wonder if you haven't got anything better to do than commenting on all those pet rat and even guinea pig videos. how sad your life must be :)

  • This is beyond adorable. I wish my girls enjoyed taking baths as much as yours! xD

  • AWWWWWWW xxxxx

  • can anyone give me advice i already have two female dumbo rats

is it okay to get two males but to keep them in seperate cages from the females.(they will be in the same room) will they fight when the females are in season..i just need advice

  • @CrazyIvan1988 just trying to get likes

  • Hahah, my rats HATED baths. I never knew how high my rats could jump until I put them in the a tub full of water.

  • @urborg74 Yeah mine too. All the "experts" say that they love baths, but mine wouldn't take a bath if I offered them a block of cheese.

  • @urborg74 You need to ease them into water. Give them the option to step into the water, and put a nice treat into it, and they will sooner or later learn that water is not a dangerous thing (not all rats though, some will still flat out refuse to even step into water)

  • @urborg74 That's because you have to properly introduce rats into water, slowly and with much patience. The rat will be mortified if you simply place it in the water, especially a tub full of water. It's better to start them off with a tiny pan thats not filled up all the way, let the rat explore on its own time.

  • @urborg74 omg i know right! my rat vivi (vee-vee) and my other one teenie both could jump out of the tub!

  • @urborg74 my rat is exactly the same

  • Lmaoo same here i got an albino rat i leaned ova bath and nearly hit me in face lollll

  • Aww, I'd love a rat :') bless.

  • awwww cute :)

  • what a champ! So ridiculously adorable

  • That is so cute! I want one; and I'll let him bathe with baby bath soap, eat with me, hug him and kiss him, and I'll name him George.

  • Cutest. Thing. Ever!.

  • I never knew a rat liked a bath, or even gave itself a bath!!!

  • I would like but...

  • *----* cute!!

  • My rats hate bath time, haha.

  • never seen a clean rat before, they are often covered in shit.

  • @markhorneyuk

Apparently you've never owned a rat before. Pet rats are NOTHING like wild rats.

  • Really cute =D

  • wow thats so cool , my rat hates water with a passion

  • @Lori46017

So do mine, haha. They try to run whenever they know its bath time.

  • can rats have baths?? cuz i have a hamster and i no they cant have baths but what about rats and mice???

  • missed a spot

  • it is baby shampoo is it because that is what you have to use on rats.

  • @cakequeen97 There is a special shampoo specialised for small animals.

  • So cute

  • hahaha he dropped the soap XD (dont reply to this comment if u dont get the joke thnx)

  • scrub scrub here, scrub scrub there...

  • SO CUTE!

  • Interestingly since Rats are mammals they can be every bit as personable as dogs or cats as pets. Most people don't think of them this way because they only think of Rats and mice as undomesticated. Thanks for posting.

  • so cute it is awesome i luv little mice like tht LOL!

  • OMFG IT IS ADORABLE $%^#&$^#

  • Sorry to ask this dude.... But is tinkerbell still alive? Coz It has been a long time./...

  • sweet jesus.......this is too cute. mine are scared shitless of water. i guess some really need awhile to get acclimated to it

  • So cute!! :)

  • Damn your rats so calm; Mine freaks out when I try to get him wet with lukewarm water. he just runs up my arms. I wish my rat took showers and stuff...

  • How do you get you're rat to not be so crazy, I got my rat from the pet store when he was 6 weeks old and whenever I hold him he gets really crazy and hides in my hair and trys to eat my fingers even though I feed him all the time o.o

  • @poppx3 At 8 weeks old our rat seemed pretty scared of us, we couldn't pick him up and he would nibble fingers and toes them causing them to bleed. He didn't attack, but since his teeth were so sharp it would always draw blood. Anyway, we got him a couple of friends of a simiar age after 1 week and after that he seemed to really relax. That was about 2 months ago and now we can pick him up, he doesn't bite and he even climbs up our legs and up onto our shoulders any chance he gets!

  • @poppx3 I don't know if you got him a friend yet, but that's a start. Just be careful about pet stores; about 80% of their rats have mycoplasma. After a month (no less) in quarantine you can introduce the new guy (not a female!) to your rat. He'll chill out. And also as he gets older. :)

  • @PostgodAfterbirth all rats have mycoplasma. its a Virus ALL domesticated rats have. your referring to mycoplasma flare ups which vary with a rat's immuin system, reason most rats from breeders almost never have them. in that case yes 80% of pet store rats have really bad mycoplasma flare ups in their lifes, thats how one of my rats died. he had a real bad flare up and the stress gave him a heart attack and he died.

  • @LightningWolff I'm sorry, that's not true. It's a bacteria, and not one-hundred percent of domestic rats have it. Some stores carry disease-free rats, as an exception but not completely rare; not every litter sold by breeders has mycoplasma. Some breeders breed thousands of litters before they can acquire disease-free lines, but it is done and some of them are sold in stores. The 80% is an estimate, a number that is about the average you find in peer-reviewed research papers.

  • @PostgodAfterbirth wow you've done little reserch. 1. if thats true then your refering to "common" rats also known as lab ras which are immuin to the virus 20% of the time. 2. it is a virus, but due to selective breeding many rats are now resistant to it, its like how some people are immne to herpies and/or aids. a majority of rats don't show any symptoms of mycoplasam ever in their life because they are resistant to the virus, reason why rats from breeders are "free" of it.

  • @poppx3 it takes time, rats like to hide in hair though, and are you sure he's eatting your fingers, he could just be grooming you which is a sign of affection. best thing to do is to let him come to you. all of my rats came from petstores (the same one to be exact) took them about a month to trust me. depending on the rat it can take longer or less. took my timid rat Storm about 2 months to trust us, and my spazzy rat Soda about 2 weeks to trust us.

  • How did you get her so used to water? Its too cute!

  • You should dub "I feel pretty" from the West Side Story over this!

  • this is precious.

  • wow, my rats wont go near water. they look at you with the most pitiful face if you try to bath them. and than scrape all the skin off your arm trying to run to safety.....8]

  • aww cutie pie look how he washes his little faceeeee

  • wow that is SO adorable. I've always wanted a pet rat. Poor little guys are so misunderstood

  • @SufferingQuota I have six rats :) x

  • @SufferingQuota You're right, they are...I am totally in love my my rat, Ben. I've gotta get a video camera and get him on here.

  • My rat likes to help me when I washing its cage in the shower, but it doesn't like to take bath, cause it can't swimm
