sick... this is my favorite exercise. i started using kettlebells but my gym only has up to 28kg. since then ive moved to dumbells and did 90lb. my goal is 100 by summer. i weigh 150. i cant even imagine doing body weight. but then again when i started 6 months ago i couldnt imagine doing 60 lbs. anyone who doesnt do turkish getups is missing out.
Bro. Any one saying anything negative about your form has no idea about going heavy in a turkish get up. Or any type of heavy movement of that nature. That was impressive. Going heavy is not pretty but those that can....Do.........!
Its impressive. But the technique is way off. If you keep that right leg tight to the body and drive on to your side, then use left arm to elevate yourself rather than trying to sit up, I am positive you could do 200. Great work.....
@TransitionCrossFit Thanks for the tips, I know my form was a bit sloppy for this, usually It is a lot cleaner, and I will be shooting for 200 soon enough.
you have like 250lbs worth of pressure on the delicate internal workings of your knee. Huge amounts of stress on your lateral meniscus and patella tendon. For the amount of work you have certainly done to become so amazingly strong, it just seems wrong for me not to mention that such activity will, in my opinion, accelerate the natural aging of your knee. I believe this is why I see videos from many strength coaches who have eliminated the kneeling portion of the Turkish Get up
@FinnishCraig3 I train this movement with a partner in Handstand for Circus, however my strength did increase in this movement after I started crossfitting. for specific training, I don't do anything out of the ordinary for this.
Doesn't count, didn't go down, didn't start with bar from the ground. Lol, JK of course. That is insanely awesome. You must have worked at that for some time; that is some serious dedication.

I saw this on the crossfit main page, did you accomplish this by just doing crossfit, or did you do some extra TGU training?
