I don't hear any harrassment here. The officer is very calm and is explaining the process and he just keeps arguing. When you start with "what are you gonna do?" it's an unnecessary level of belligerence. You are crossing into another country, one which has no legal requirement to let you in, so it doesn't make sense to not answer the questions honestly. Saying, "I'm sorry, but we're planning on browsing all over (or simply naming one that's in the mall) would have gone over so much better.

I am a US citizen and I was just harassed by the US border patrol also. This is also after I watched this video and thought what are the chances. I answered directly and friendly but they still asked for my keys, yelled at me, and damaged my belonging (I have to pay out of my own pocket for my own loss even though they found nothing). Advice for people crossing the border to US: Do as they say because they are gods and they will screw you over if they want to regardless of citizenship.

Last year when my parents went through the border to go to AZ for the winter, they were made to get out of their vehicle and sit in a room for an hour while the US guards when through their vehicle....They are over 60 and have been going south for years!!! F'n nazi's!

the process = whatever they make up at the time. they can't search you or your cars without your consent. If they do it's a violation. If you're not free to go you're under arrest, and so they interrogated without a miranda warning, which is another violation.

@VerifiedNews Customs/Border agents have the power to search everything upside down, I think they could even dismantle your car and say, "ok you're good to go" without putting it back together. It would never happen but yeah, pretty nuts.
