Razor was a powerhouse! Knockdown was by a punch that got him on the temple, fell down similar to later knockdowns to Lennox & Tommy Morrison. Razor's BIG mistake was fighting Tyson in pre-title fights! Should have only fought Tyson when one of them had belts, sold himself short as a result and also cost him achieving much more in his career. Two successive bruising fights with Tyson washed him up, silly move! Shame, he was a very Dangerous Heavyweight talent. Wanted 2c him vs Bowe/ Holyfield
@Platinummxi Watch at 0:36 to 0:37,you see ruddock dipping to the right to throw that jab inside and bonecrusher missed the counter right but Lewis didn't miss it.He caught on this mistake ruddock makes and lewis capitalized on it. Watch the dip ruddock makes,it's so suseptible to the counter right.
patently either wouldbeat the klitchkos every time. and these weren't considerd top class in their time despite being champion + top contender ! not saying this era of heavies is dire or anything but..... last time we saw fights like this at this weight ??
@elainesman You don't consider Razor Ruddock and James Bonecrusher Smith to be top tier heavyweights? I would love to know who you DO think is a top tier heavyweight, cuz Bonecrusher Smith is considered one of the hardest hitting men in boxing history. He had a right hand that could stop a runaway train. And Razor Ruddock, with his patented, devastating left hook ("The Smash") managed to stand his ground against an in-his-prime Mike Tyson. Twice.
My so beloved boxing!!
