@ReviewsVideoGame How big is the tank and what are the new fish? Many tetras for agressive hierarchies and can bully other fish. Some tetras, like Lemons, are known to be more agressive, and are thought to be related to pirhanas. One of the best ways to calm agressive schooling fish is further balance, sometimes you may need 5 or more.Remember to keep schools odd, and if the new fish were schooling, try getting 3.
That's wired I have the same tetras in pink , and where ever I see them they ate called "painted tetras" is that right?? Cause of the color they have a different name??
@Xerxes845 Often, tetras tend to be territorial with eachother to establish dominancy. Black Skirts tend to be calmer, but all tetras can be aggresive. How long have you had them, and what other tetras are there?
@phillyphishyphun I also have the same problem. I have 3 Black skirts, 3 headlight tetras and 3 serpaes. I tried adding 2 new fish (male and female platy) and they ate them! what should i do?
they are schooling fish, happiest in higher numbers, but if there are 3 and other fast moving fish are in the tank(other tetras are best) they will be fine.
@phillyphishyphun Hmm, I keep three with several other kinds of tetra and they tend to be territorial, even towards each other. I would say you need a full school of at least 5.
i have a black skirt tetra too. a few days ago it acted like it was about to die but now its swimming around and doesnt seem so sick like he was. he does good except i have a rainbow shark in there too and the rainbow keeps nipping him on the fin.
