  • Very helpful thank you

  • Hanbaga=hamburger

  • wouldnt you say おちゃはおねがいします?

  • @mimori24

    i would say something completely different from that..

    i would say: O-cha o yomimasu... おちゃをよみます。

    its still very polite, and it says. i will drink tea [please].

    and if you wanna order both drinks and eating you say

    sushi o tabemasu.. soshite.. sake o yomimasu.

    -> すしをたべますそしてさけをよみます。

    i will eat sushi, and then i will have some sake [please]... please is in clams cause it is only said implicitly.

    you will then end the sentence buy saying a simple: Arigatou gozaimasu-> ありがとうございます。

  • @Amstrup77

    bullshit you are failed yomimasu means to read ...do you read a cup of tea ???

    you are realy a smart-ass

  • I can't pay attention to the lesson because she's too hot

  • I have a question about quanitity. If, for example you wanna order 3 glasses of water, would you say "mizu o mittsu onegaishimasu" or "mizu mittsu o onegaishimasu". I'm just confused about where to place the particle "wo". Also, does that particle rule change if you use "kudasai" instead of "onegaishimasu"?

    I'm going to Japan in 2 days so I'd really like to know. :D

  • does daiski mean i not really sure of the meaning and spelling X.X

  • just 2 words? thats barely enough to order food in japanese, and these r 2 of the most basic words! i thought it said expert language tips -_-'

  • what about the particle "wa", or "wo", or "ga"?

    wouldn't i say "o-cha wo onegai shimasu"?

  • how to say " I want to fuck you " in Japanese ?

    aregato ^_^

  • @KAD132 あなたとセックスしたいのですが 。 which is pronounced "anata to sekusu shitai no desu ga"

    i think you're just messing around, but i have to say....that's not a nice thing to say to a japanese person...

  • great lesson. thank you for this.

  • An easy way to learn Japanese right from your home or wherever you go - check the video out - youtube.com/watch?v=wfseANZtMNg

  • arigatogozaimasu! aishiteru ! XD

  • To make it more polite, you can say "Arigatou Gozaimasu" (if that's how you spell it) You wouldn't normally know the person that is your waiter/waitress, so you would add the "gozaimasu" at the end.

  • i can't remember word "onegai shimasu" !!! very difficult !!! >.<

  • @trissab789123 if you watched anime in japanese, you'd learn it really quick!

    they use it all the time!!!

  • @EpicMargo lmao best comment ever !

  • wow she is sooooo intelegent in teaching, she teaches as good as posible, thank you

  • onegaishimasu cannot be used for anything. It is not always interchangable with kudasai.

  • hey can i ask u a question please? =D

    how do you say...."no thanks","im sad","im happy",and "what day is it?"

    =D if you would tell me i'd be very VERY thankful! ^-^

  • "How do you say thank you?"

    "Fuck you."

    "Yes,that's correct. Arigatou."

  • @mydearcassandra LMFAO

  • Omgoshこの女性は素晴らしいです!もし私が彼女のようないくつかの1つになる日本の女性と結婚する!

    Still learning lol

  • yea like morenita said great work!

  • you are a grate teacher thank you :)

  • cant you say aregato gosaimazu ?

  • gozaimasu is something you use in a formal situation like if you were at your boss's house.

  • "onegai" can be used as "please", but it's literal translation is "wish."

    "onegai shimasu" literally translates out more closely to "I am wishing." "onegai" is "wish" and "shimasu" is the masu (polite) form of "suru" which means "to do." So her example of "ocha onegai shimasu" translates out to "I (politely) wish for tea."

    @today20080523:

    You can use just "doumo," but it's not the usual thing to say. It's not impolite, it's just a little casual. It's not normally heard from a foreigner.

  • you are so cute........suki desu....

  • mmmmmmm you do not look like japanese you look like filipina

  • thanks for this episode, i'm going to a japanese steak house for my birthday this weekend and i realized i didn't know how to order food in japanese, so this video really helped me a lot.

    yokatta ne? ^_^

  • Ah thank you.

    But can I also use 'domo' to thank people? as I heard some people using it.

    what is the difference between arigatou and domo.

  • @today20080523 they both mean thanks... doumo arigatou is just a little more formal

  • Thank you very much for your lessons. You are so clear and I find it easy to learn Japanese Language with you.

  • i am learning so much it is much easier than english.

  • doesn't onegai mean please

  • yesh

    i think...

  • Now wouldn't you normally say Arigatou Gozaimasu if you don't know the person and Itadakimasu when someone made the food for ulike your mom or a friend??? then gochisousama when you are done eating????

  • ummm its arigatou? its means thank you... but is it the same for "thank you for the food"?

  • i thought to be thankful after eating your food

    "gochisosama"

    but i don't speak japanese so i could be wrong :/

    its just something i picked up i guess

  • l totally love japanese language!!! by the way what does "desu" exactly mean??

  • "desu" is like "to be" or "it is"

    of course "dewa..." is like "is NOT"

  • I'm new to Japanese, so if I went to a Japanese food restaurant, and asked in Japanese, do you think this will be very confusing? Thank you expertvillage.

  • 0:15

  • 0:16

  • although it is written as ありがとう, the "u" actually represents the long vowel for "to".

    hence, a direct romanji translation would be arigatou; the pronounciation should be arigatoo (long vowel); the english version of arigato is kind of inaccurate.

    similarly for とけい (watch), the romaji is tokei while the pronounciation is tokee (long vowel).

  • does Onegai means 'Please' too?

  • Yes, Onegai means please.

    Same with Kudasai.

  • Arigatou means thank you. And Hai (Sp?) means Yes. ^_^

  • so if i ask onegai shimasu American does that mean that are you american?

    and if i say Arigatou that means yes?

    right?

  • no onegai shimasu is asking for something.

    ang "HAI" is yes in japanese.

  • you woulnd't say onegai shimasu American you would say 'American onegai shimasu' which means can i have an American , lol the Japanese say American differently it's ending sounds like ka not can

  • YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • is arigatou - あ り が と う a ri ga to u

    but its sound like Arigato.

  • wow I'm correct even though I said nothing

  • I said it wrong and it was still "Yes, thats correct." :D

    ~~~~SIA
    I hope I was correct there on my sentences.
    Anyway, thank you for the restaurant tips, I have been working on that through my old notes, but now I know.
  • "ha" can be written as "wa" in romanji, and chyotto is "chotto".
    jozou? do u mean jouzu? :)
  • Arigatou Gozaemasu (i dont know how to write gozaemasu right)
  • Arigato is the american variation of the word. They drop the u, just like with english words; favour-->favor and honour-->honor.
  • Arigatou is right in front of you and you still spell it wrong?
  • thanks!!i mean arigato:]
  • arrigoto! watashiwa nihongo amari umaku hanasemasen... but im lerning :)
  • Great! Thanks for the help. I'm taking Japanese and these lessons are good practice.
  • wow this is help full cool (=
  • It sounds like you are not pronouncing the final "u" in "shimasu". Or is that just because you are saying it rapidly?
    Very nice video, btw. You're a good teacher. ;)
  • that's just how you pronounce it. The u is silent.
  • Yes, but at :25, she pronounces the "u".
    ??
  • people say it is silent, but not 100% silent
    you have to pronunciate it, but not as hard as usual
    not 100%, just about 10-20% hard
    you may know what I mean:D
  • Yes, I do. Thanks! ;)
  • People usually just say it's silent because it's easier for Americans to pronounce it without the 'u'.
    You're definately right though..it's not silent, at first I didn't hear it, now I definately do.
