It is pretty basic stuff...IMO most of REM (Peter Bucks) guitar work is not particularly tough stuff to play...but as Im sure you will agree Buck comes up with the it, and brings it alive...so I reckon (as you said here) simple or not its still "really great"..and when you throw in all the other REM elements youve got a band thats being doing great music for 25 years +...cheers mate...keep on playing
Great for sure...Ive never heard them play it live at any concerts ive been...maybe one day...like the perfect square version better...somehow i like the sound of the fatty he plays rather than the RIck...not often I can say that...I love the sound of the 360
i love the sound of the ric 360, especially in mr bucks hands however i think the live version of road movie is the ultimate, crunchy jangly ric in all its raw glory
Where was/is this from? It's like Fritz Lang filming the birth music: the first child ever to pick up the guitar and then, slowly, clumsily, making it sing beautifully; and, then, the new-born child wailing, yet inventing all sounds yet to come: amazing.
Breathtaking...

a beautiful gem this one truely is, which I find sounds even better saturated and loud live as it is played here

This has to be up there as one of the best versions of this song. This song is an R.E.M. classic.

Arguably REM's greatest song... so powerful, so deeply immersed in meaning, it leaves me in a state of paralysis.
It is a masterpiece, there can be no doubts about that.
