@gigikusakit After Luke and Laura's truck exploded, Laura called the house phone (where Lucky was at) and left a coded message that meant for Lucky to get on a plane and head to Port Charles. Since the three of them were separated at the time, they had to go separate ways - Luke and Laura on a train, and Lucky on a plane. It wasn't safe for them to meet up.
