Why is it, when I play my L4D2 and suddenly my MSI GT628 Laptop turns off? Help..

The gt628 isn't for sale anymore, but the barebones usually goes for about $500-$700.

Drivers will not solve your issue. You will need to install windows 7 64-bit in order for your computer to recognize the extra GB of RAM. Windows 7 32-bit only recognizes 3 gigs of ram max.

I've had this for about 3 months now and I gotta say it has not disappointed me one bit. I've gotten around 12k from 3d mark 06 and temperatures are amazing compared to most other gaming laptops. I think it has been taken off the market however with the release of msi's newer 40nm GPU laptops.

The gt627 GPU is a lower clocked version of the gt628's GTS 160m. It could easily be overclocked to be the same as the gts 160. Though the quad support is a definite plus for the 628

I found a place to buy it online, pretty cheap cpmpare to others branded laptops and barebones laptops, but I also want to know where else to buy it at least with factory settings at 700 to 800 dollars.

If you know where I can buy it that price with the Manufacturer Settings (as seen on the MSI WhiteBook Website)

not by far since they both basically use the same GPU but I dont know if the 627 supports quads so the 628 might have the edge.

Yeah I guess from what I understand, the 628 is the same as the 627 but with a slightly upgraded GPU.

I can't wait to see what the new desktop gt 300 cards will be like. supposedly it's going to to have 512 shaders! that's crazy!

lol... It's not the fastest video card out there, but it's quite fast

It's actually based on G94 core which has 64 unified shaders.

This will probably be able to run max settings depending on the configuration you get it with. Quad core support is a definite plus for this laptop. Receiving mine on thursday!!!!

no, Msi gt628 is better than asus g71 :S and it is also cheaper, take a look at the prices and specifications first..... anyways both are good
