@kimmypie88 Someone's already posted the whole film onto Youtube. Just Google 'watch The Servant', or type 'The Servant (1963) - Joseph Losey (Türkçe Altyazılı)' into Youtube's search bar. It should come up.
A fantastic work and far more engaging than 'The Night Porter'. Bogarde's autiobiographies reveal his depth and problems...even working daily with an intestinal parasite contracted when in the forces!
@MarionHardingArtist : "The Night Porter" is great--I saw it in a theater when it first came out(no pun intended); didn't understand it at the time, now I do.
I think Dirk gives himself away a little in this scene, and it is probably more like a snapshot of his own life with his partner Tony Forwood. Very interesting.
@nickhubbardtube: Not all gay relationships operate on the cliched model. I am quite sure that Bogarde was more than capable of acting the part without having to use his own life as raw material.
will someone please upload this film if they have it im begging now pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee

We all now it's gay... we also know Dirk was a gem of an actor and Fox role is terrific. Let's talk about what's really important.

The servant needs to keep shut and tend to his assigned duties--but then, if he did, I guess there wouldn't be a movie, right?
