Tegan and Sara should never go mainstream, it would ruin them. They'll be popular for so long then they'll get pushed to the side. Plus mainstream music sucks.
I agree, T&S have the potential, ALL the potential to be the "number one", to stay into the "top ten", to be the "hit at the moment"... but, we do NOT WANT those cheap things, come on!! this things just suffocate the amazing genius of one artist, the reflectors burn, the labels sucks. why would you want them to be so mainstream though? they are exposed to many many fans who truly enjoy genuine music. tegan and sara even state themselves that they enjoy being in control of their record so that they don't call under the stereotypical female artist label, so they stay genuine, and so that they aren't pressured to work so hard under other people's demands. i really respect that, especially since it is their choice. their talent is recognized plenty.
This song is so good and could easily be a number one hit if the "regular" stations would play some of their songs. So many of their songs are great and the only thing I get mad at is they aren't played enough on stations. Their fans know how good they are and I just wish other's could get to hear some of their stuff. Love them!!
