God, I was like 9 when this was on CITV. Man, those times were sweet.

This was actually when they (ITV) gave a rat's arse about quality kid's TV!

Quality writing here, a lot of animated shows could learn a thing.

But with the PC brigade wanting to babify kids' shows and generally dumb down... I doubt we'll see anything this decent again.

Political Uncorrectness is why we'll never see amazing cartoons like these anymore. Pirates? Oooooh no they have pointy swords, they don't exist. And was that alcohol I saw in the first part? nah that doesn't exist. I wish cartoons these days would stop treating kids like fuckin idiots.

Long Johen Silver reminds me of Don Karnage from Disney's Talespin. There both pirates except Don Karnage is an air pirate.

i was scared of this cartoon when i was a child lol, i waslike 6-7 years old that time...didnt understand what the cartoon was about but i remember that the tall dude died and they dumped him to sea..then i had nightmares xD
