Some tv shows are still openly anti gay. Some talk show hosts you can catch being anti gay in the early episodes and then flipping with the audiences influence later in the season. Hopefully some day soon we can loose the whole man and woman only family image in the media though that'll take a strong shrinkage in diluted religious fanatics. Though for now the only gay or lesbian characters on tv are expected to act flamboyant and butch as is the accepted stereotype.

That's a very good question..as the point of the film is that he is a victim of a crime ..not the perpetrator...today with such an age disparity and if Jimmy was under 16, he would be regarded as a victim and cared for as such...the problem with these educational films is they did not distinguish between homosexuality and paedophilia..the guy in this film is a CREEP and a criminal but he is a paedophile ..not gay..the majority of paedophiles will actually identify themselves heterosexual.
