I think you have potential :) Just try to make your voice sound a little fuller! It's always easier not to deviate from the style and key of the original artist. It will still sound like your own, because you don't have the same voice as the original artist. It's the magic of the original melody that people love. That's my two cents, anyways :)

you got a good voice. try to work on your basic vocal such as the tempo. your ending part of each word is not so stable so i believe you can try to work on that too. try singing in the bathroom or some place enclosed. you will then get what i meant.
