great pattern! You did everything consistent, and 'snappy' and eight is great at the congress! My sister got tenth in her showmanshio class at the congress. your horse is beautiful, and you to look great toghther. Why did you sell him? :-)
no when you look at the pivot foot its so you know you nailed the pivot and you can have confidence in your pattern. I've been taught by Dianne Eppers. look her up; she knows what she's doing
Gorgeous horse and you compliment her well but i have to say one thing, if you pause a little longer after your pivots it looks so much smoother and militaristic! not being mean just offering a little feedback :)
Gosh girls. The girl placed at congress. Give her a break. She did a wonderful pattern. Take it from someone that won there too, you placed and no matter what ANYONE thinks you kicked butt. Now back to the horse. Where are you and more about the horse. Looking for one for my 12 yr daughter to move up on.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment! This mare is with McIntosh Performance Horses in Miamisburg, Ohio. All her information is listed on Equine under Radical Dark Chip, and I just lowered her price - we bought another horse.
actually about the pivot-you're supposed to look at the pivot foot that way when you go to the judge you can be positive you nailed it and not have to worry about how you did
You are not suppossed to watch the pivot foot! That is a HUGE no!! You are to execute your pattern with flow, consistency and confidence, staring at that pivot foot only shows the judge that you are not sure if you will nail it or not.
I like your pattern just a few things i saw...i've judge a few showmanship classes...when your doing your turns look over the horses hip..just over the center of there hips...i like that your incadence with your horse at the trot a lot of people dont do that but so you dont look robotic look over the horses hip at the back and the turns.
great job you just got out there and got the job done smoothly and confidently, thats wat i need to do better. awesome mare!!
