Still legal to shoot lead in southern Ireland at the moment although talks are currently going on to try to ban the use of lead shot. Id imagine by next season the new legislation will be in force. northern Ireland changed to non toxic 2 years ago.
very good video and some very good shooting where abouts in ireland is this wouldnt mind going there myself i only live in england but the duck shooting looks great there
@canadianwingshooter I figured from seeing all those high shots. They should push for steel. Or sooner or later the lead could ruin it for them. I know the lead ban works, being a waterfowler I can put up with the less range, if it means healthier eco systems.
found this video funny to watch.. i watch videos of you guys shooting in canada or america with hundreds of dollars of decoys and camo gear and of course us irish just stand there with some old green jumper they had for 20 years with holes in it.. i wish i could live in canada hunting looked so much better there than here
I enjoyed this video/episode. This reminded me of one of my favorite pastimes; reading 19th Century, Waterfowl, Wing Shooting and Shot-Gunning books, online. These are digitalized, downloadable, free, and can be read online from Google books. Thanks Canadian Wingshooter.

@waubamikrider I would much rather steel, if given the choice I would choose steel over lead.
