Elvis was marketed by the Colonel, this was Elvis's death, he wanted to get out from under him. Singing in Vegas was a big mistake, it killed him, the monotony of it, Litlle Richard had pure talent and guts, and has never lost his spirit. I saw Elvis in Vegas, he was bigger than life with his overblown orchestrations and Vegas endings.

Elvis was named the King of Rock & Roll, but Little Richard is the inventor of Rock & Roll, many black artists did not get recognition and black artist who recorded hit records got ripped off and white artists would record them. Little Richard came before Elvis. Me, I can remember at 12 years old rocking out to Little Richard, I loved it, still do today. He is a great artist.

@c101945 Little Richard wasnt robbed of anything. He was one of the top selling artists of the 50's earning 10,000 dollars a week. When Presley chose to do a Little Richard song on national television, it helped open the door for more Americans to Richard's music, and Richard was in more demand because of it- hes said so many times.

Little Richard is a Great Rock and roll legend.One of the Problems with him never recieving the fame he should have is because he goes on with too much nonesense.He has always wanted to be bigger than Elvis which will never happen.Also he screams so much and it take away from his singing...However he is one of the best.Can you Believe the man is 76 years old and still does live shows and looks the same as in this video.He should be given many more awards than he has ever got..Its just not right.

Yeah, the guy is now 75 years old. He still manages to excite the fans who attend his performances, but they have been few and far between. Does anyone know when and where he will perform next? He is a true icon and I have always enjoyed him and his music.

You'll find him doing things around Ca all the time, he lives in LA as does his sister Gail Penniman who works at SAG she is the lady that got me back stage at the HOB to meet him 5 yrs ago his brother Markett was there also They were so nice to me LR asked where I was from when I told him he told me about some friends he had in Winston Salem NC he took his time and really talked to me b4 they left I'll never 4get how his sister sorta took me under her wing that night.
