  • These go to 11. This one has the ol tagger on it. Listen to the sustain.

  • his looking good face!!!

  • I saw him in Viareggio for the railway victims benefit festival, he played "Nessun Dorma" for the first time by Puccini, who was born and lived in our area. As soon as he started playing there was a complete muteness and enchantment though the audience.

  • he looks like nigel tufnel of spinal tap in this.

  • @vinto34 Believe it or not, Nigel Tufnel was partially based on Jeff Beck

  • so we have beck to blame for korn? with great power comes great responsibility

  • This is about music, not politics.

  • I remember reading years ago that the Stones talked to Jeff about joining the band, though didn't realize they had the balls to tell him he needed to audition for the gig. Anyway, I can't see Jeff being terribly happy about being 3rd banana to Mick & Keith, nor really believe they would have enjoyed a big Jeff Beck contingent of fans every night who liked the Stones but came to see Jeff Beck. That experiment lasts a week...maybe. Their egos probably need the largely ego-less Ron Wood.

  • I've never seen Jeff as a banana even on my greatest acid trips. What are you smoking dude?

  • Are you serious?!?! I'll assume (sadly) that you are and patiently explain that "2nd banana" is a figure of speech meaning the guy playing a backup role to the star of the show. I want to leave it to you deduce from this what it would then mean to be the 3rd banana but am afraid to. Please feel free to respond if you should need further help. Waiter, check please!!!

  • some people just dont get it...........

  • what year is this? looks like 90s

  • saw him in belfast 2 days ago. . i was speechless. . he is THE guitar god. .

  • Jeff Beck is the best. Having speed doesn't make you good. You have to be able to play the good notes well, and nobody can play the good notes better than Beck. Beginning of discussion...

  • true, but this is music. talk to a politician.

  • @stargate669 This was done during the Clinton administration. So, plenty of "Good Notes" there, yeah, mmmmmm.

  • he was going to be my godfather

  • At :30 it looks like he's about to say "It's called Lick My Love Pump."

  • Well Nigel's hair was styled after his...

  • I was pissed one evening so I watched Spinal Tap with the band's commentary. When Nigel is at the piano during the love pump scene he comments something like

"see that jacket I'm wearing, I gave that to Jeff Beck"

    "yeah? what did he say?"

"He told me to fuck off"

  • I know! It all comes full circle with this clip!

  • Bow in the presence of greatness.

  • did he just forget the name of his own second album?

  • No surprise.. his passion is with his cars. As a musician he is so humble that it almost makes you wish he could be an arrogant bastard at times, haha.

  • There are probably guitarists out there as good as Jeff Beck but I do not think there was any one better.

  • nah there is

its just at that style Jeff Beck is king

  • that man is the best in my mind!

  • The Guvnor

  • THANKYOU!

  • god,thanks to posting!

  • That was great - glad they talked about some of Jeff's earlier milestones
