  • This was really helpful :)

    Thanks man :)

  • I want a video showing

'How to get Jeremy Clarksons Voice in Stop Motion

  • what program is that???

  • Wow. That's a lot of effort, especially for all of the frames that you used. :D

  • Can it be done on Paint Tool SAI?

  • haha! thx bro

  • Its like tutorial for retards. At least dont do it sooooooo slow

  • how do you do it on gimp?

  • Any other way? BESIDES photoshop?

  • That doesn't work on Windows 7 Paint; you can't even have two pictures at the same time.

  • What really is fustratin for me is that:

    1. OK, HOW DO YOU TAKE A PIC!?!

2.Stop Motion is used to make vids right? then after you've done this, how do you put the flyin pics INTO the vid? Take a photo of your computer is it?

  • @Animal00Kaiser oh my god. Are you serious? You shouldn't be doing stop motion animation if you're asking this question.

    1) You take a picture with your damn camera.

    2) Stop motion is a collection of PICTURES that make up a VIDEO. You simply import the photo into your video editing suite of your choice and edit onwards.

    Jesus Christ.

  • @Animal00Kaiser Well, Do you know what a camera/ Phone camera is?

  • What program did you use?

  • Comment removed

  • another way is do the exact same thing except use green supports and just key out the color green, same principle as green screen.

  • there is no shadow :D

  • flying .....with out a shadow....

  • well then... nothing will be flying in any of my stop motions.

  • works with paint???

  • How it works on Photofiltre :P

  • Gimp Works Well To!

  • what did you use?

  • This is very helpful - would it work on paint? Also, once you finish and save the edited picture, how do you get it to the same resolution as the rest of the animation? Thanks.

  • I'm New To This BTW

    will it work if i...

Take pics with my phone and send them to my E-Mail thensave into my laptop and

use windows movie maker to edit it ? pleez answer A.S.A.P

  • @theanimeloversunite no you will need something else as well as movie maker you will need some photo editing software like photoshop so you can erase the supports then use movie maker to piece the photos together :)

  • THIS IS WHAT I NEED...thanks! =)) i created a stopmotion using this!

  • green screen works too

  • Can u use stop motion pro or windows movie maker

  • What software did u use

  • I would like to thank you very much for this tutorial, it has been very helpful and I shall admire and respect you for this! Good work friend!

  • wat program did u use for the editing

  • u can use movie maker also...its easier in that...

  • @rhtdy windows movie maker?

  • @rhtdy No... not possible. :)

  • can i use paint

  • @506blaze No way!

  • forgot the shadow ey? hmmm....

  • Comment removed

  • It appears you can use any picture editing program that has LAYERS. From what I see at least.

  • Will iMovie work?

  • it helped me

  • cool

  • wat about the shadows?

  • now how the fuck do we get that up for a srart u reBasterd make another vid on how next time ass

  • What is the GIMP?

  • If you get stop motion pro v7 you can do it in the animator itself!

  • @matiemanre4 Hey is Stop motion pro user friendsly?

  • why did you have to erase the shadow that the clay figure made?

  • thats a big help but how do you leave the shadow because when theres no shadow it looks like computer animation added in a claymation

  • Thanks a lot

  • When i use photoshop i past a new layer and it turns darker. leaving a bright spot were i rubed out/ =\

  • I just use green clay as supports, and then use chroma key to get rid of them

  • hey, what program do you use

  • Can you tell me how to add that into somthing like animator DV simple +

  • you can use BAFRAN for making lego movies too

  • @omarsonic9 yea but bafran isnt good with lighting too much...

  • theres a program called StopMotionPro and it lets u onionskin, and do this, all in one place, while organizing your frames

  • flying without a shadow...

  • thanks alot

  • the program u use is photoshop?

  • theres no shadow so it kinda looks edited

  • @scotfever yea but its not like anyones gonna really notice it alot!

  • what program did u use?

  • "How to levitate like Criss Angel...with clay"

  • SWEEEEEET!

  • I believe that the correct title would be,"How To Make Things Fly In Stop Motion" Just saying.

  • what about shadow ? shouldnt there be shadow???

  • will photoshop work?

  • @XxironxmaidenxX Yeah that will do

  • @XxironxmaidenxX

Will iMovie work with this, and after you have the supports out, would you save a final copy of the pic and add that in?

  • what photo editor do u use?

  • but, howcome when you used the eraser tool, the background behind the supports didn't erase as well?

  • @bmthbtf Because when you're using layers, only the selected layer erases normally.

I say normally because sometimes you need to select a box that says something like 'Only erase current layer' or something like that.

    Dog

  • @bmthbtf he's using Photoshop, which has a layers palette, sort of like those screen thingys on an overhead projector, meaning that he can do anything to the clay doll without damaging the background cuz it is on a separate layer.

  • what one did you use exzacty

    i whant to b right

  • you are moving the mouse like slug -.-

  • wait we wont believe its flying because its no shadow need more practice in erasing dude!

  • @legoformers23459 u can just use the burn tool in PS

  • to make it look more realistic you'd want to keep the shadow.

  • Very good-but a lot quicker with a greenscreen with a green wire support for the figure. Magic wand tool for a seletion area then delete the greenscreen on the foreground layer, then merge on to the studio set layer. The erase method can be used if bits of the wire remain in the foreground

  • Thanks that really helped

  • What a wonderful method! I shall try it myself. I use a rig romoval tool but it is not always very flawless.

  • dank je

maar welk foto programma gebruik jij?

  • excellent and not to hard either thanx

  • better idea: use fishing wire

  • Thats so cool

  • what about the shadow?

  • the gimp photo editor works rly well :D but it won't accept vids =-[ does anyone know how this can be overcome? or some kinda software that does the layer thing but fram by frame?? thnx :)

  • Unfortunately you have to do all this erasing to EVERY FRAME that you want your character flying. "Yes I know its alot of work, but its worth it"

  • you can do it in paint. take a picture of the background, then a picture of the figure with supports. then just cut the figure with supports out and paste it onto the background. that would work and save you from downloading fancy programs. it may look a little faultier though

  • this helped me alot! ive been wondering how to make my things fly in my stop motions

  • Comment removed

  • u have to make it fast but if u use the tool in paint that will copy the color it works too just not as well

  • can you use microsoft office picture manager

  • you have to check it out yourself

  • @98gamer No

  • What Did You Use?

  • what photo editor do ya use?Can i make it in sony vegas pro 9?

  • Thanks Seminuka, i found this pretty useful.

I'll be testing on my shots tomorrow

  • yer it good, but what if u got 300 shot for 10 seconds??

hmm not that good at the end of the day

  • time my friend, time :P

  • lol yer every thing comes to time =]

  • dude I dun bother doing flying scene is too hard

  • Thank's so much dude!:D

  • can you use paint?

  • no you can't. Paint doesn't work with layers.

  • Tell me why you erased the shadow? :)

  • becouse the shadow was on the supports, if its not, you could leave the shadows in.

  • But it looks very weird without shadows, and I think the technique is useless if you can't leave shadows that actually shows that objects is in the air, if you know what I mean...

  • using photoshop cs3 I cant seem to get both of my pictures on one page. Can anyone help?

  • this came out on my birthday 13

  • Your the best!!!

Making a star wars animation with figures (stop motion)

and i did a jedi battle and someone has to fly by a force push.

Didn't know how and now i know!

    Your the best dude!

    Subscribed

  • thank's dude!!!XD

  • so u cant do that in paint?

  • no, you can do... but it is much more work and time.... and it works an other way

  • thank you! ive always wanted to do this but never knew how!

  • many thanks!

  • Why did you delete the shadow?

  • It is up to you if you want the shadow in... But in this case the shadow was on the supports...

  • sometimes you can use supports or gloves for your hands that blend in with the background, too. but your method always works.

  • thanks so mucH!

  • You get used to it. To make a good Stop Motion you need time. a lot time. For my 'Random Clay Play' video it took 3 month to make it. See the result :P

  • this would take like 20 years to make it really look like hes flying through a whole set you only did 1 picture and it took a while

  • you can do this in the normal MS paint

  • How?

  • To erase, click down the erase button? xD

Paste it like "New Layer" :D

  • cool thanks

  • Ups sorry, now it works! Thanks! ;)

  • i was having trouble with gimp too what do you have to do?

  • I can't do it in GIMP :S ?

  • which one did u use?

  • it dosent work on photoshop

  • It must work. But on an other way. Try a special layers box where you see al the layers

  • ok ill try

  • where do u get the photo file?

  • in photoshop cant you just move the character? pr do you have to erase the supports

  • I can't Copy & Paste in GIMP :S

  • Take a look at the side of the screen. There is a place where you can see/organize all the layers...

  • is gimp free?

  • yes

  • yeah you can its wierd though iits realy complex try ms paint unless you have mac

  • way better then stopmotionretards video

    of how to do this

  • awsome! very helpfull!

  • very good! but umm which program do you use? do u know anything like it thats free or downloaded?

  • description>>>>

  • yes i know but do you know any FREE programs that you can do this on? cant you do this on paint?

  • all programs in the description are free, you just have to find a good downloading site :P

  • hmm well i tried all your programs but they didnt work i dont know why :P maybe their only for a mac? hmm well can you do this on paint?

  • Yes you can do it on paint... But you can't work with layers. You have to cut it exactly out of the blanc picture.... Very dificult

  • is paint the only free editing program for windows? whats good for windows besides paint?

  • a way you can do paint is you erase the supports and then coppy and paste, I'm making a floating head video like that, and ill tell you when i post it

  • oh okay! that would be very helpful! by the way i like your claymations!

  • and if that dosn't work then il show you another method

  • okay good! waitin for it to come out soon :D

  • I only have like 3 seconds and it's like 15 in all, so i got a while to go

  • Paint NET, there you can work with layers

  • you spongey boob with noble

  • thnks ,

but what kind of progamm do you use to put the photo's to getter into a movie?

  • Stop Motion Pro 4

  • I don't think this will work for me because I use a webcam plugged into my computer. The pictures go straight to a software called honestech claymation sudio. So I don't think it will work. How do you take your pictures? From a webcam, or a digital camera?

  • yeah Digital camera....

  • Cool video response. What program did you use in that video (I'll just get a pirated version from rapidshare)?

  • thanks

  • You can live a long time on 30-days trials op programs :P

But i prefer to Download a good Dowloading program like Bittorrent ore something and search Photoshop ore Paintshop pro

    Sem

  • still a great way to show others the true meaning of time and patence. i still enjoyed it and soon i hope to make more of my animation and/or repost some of my old shit... but still i like this... Sem..

    Spirit/Jared...

  • what's a free program u can use

  • thanks man..........dat really helped

  • what video editing software are you using???

  • Its a photo editing software, I edit each frame separately. Just Click More info

  • i kno that i mean what you used for the pictures of the bowl's unless you did that as a photo and imported it into movie maker

  • If you use premiere, or pinnacle or another video editor, you can also experiment using chrama key / green screen techniques. Make the supports in a vivid color, not used elsewhere in te set, and then remove it in with chroma key slection. Beware of shadows of the supports though; for these are not automatically removed.

  • Haha, i think the photo-editing software for the mac works the same way as it does at windows.... just try it... It is a tutorial how to do it in a photo-editing software, not on a pc or mac.... I think it doesn't matters

  • People the software he is using is photoshop so don't ask it anymore te answer to that question is PHOTOSHOP

    lol

  • everyone also can click 'more info', I thought everyone would ask, so I put an annonation in the video, but everyone, click 'more info'

  • Srry man liet me ff gaan
